Is it just me; or do all the interactions with or about Kaname seem quite mean. I noticed in the other play through routes too. All the brothers seem to be very rude, and the "player" responses are quite rude as well. It makes me sad to hear that for some reason. I can't wait for Natsume!! I'm loving this series though. :)
I think it comes down to a few things. Most of the straight laced brothers like Ukyo or Azusa seem to simply not respect his lifestyle. It hasn’t been made clear to me through and wiki articles, the anime, or at any point in this story yet, but it sure seems as though he might be a host who makes money by spending time with women all day. Some of the brothers might feel like he’s playing around and not actually contributing to society. Another layer is that I think the brothers that don’t mind about his lifestyle like yusuke or even masaomi who seems to love everyone no matter their choices, he ends up pissing off them by being all over ema and considering his track record that would naturally concern them. Then there are those who are quite fond of even look up to kaname like tsubaki and Hikaru who comes in later is close to kaname. To sum it up, while it may seem they are rude to him, it’s not out of nowhere, and they usually play it off in a comedic light so it doesn’t bother me too much. I’m looking forward to learning more about these relationships during Kaname’s story 💕
