- Welcome back - we've had a little break from TH-cam as its been a busy few moths, but we are back!
I toured one of my favourite army surplus stores in the UK and here's the link for their website:

Just like the army and navy stores that used to be in Swansea. My parents bought my school clothes from there. My teacher didn't like me turning up as a u boat commander but that was the 70's for you.

Banned at our school as teachers all turned as Nazi officers. The ranks were all out of wrong with their job functions. Head was a sergeant for example. We didnt know who salute.
OD field jackets were popular. Navy wool Pea Coats too in 70's

I used to buy stuff from Ryders when I was actually in the army back in the early 80s and take it back to camp. I could get stuff the army could not supply us with…so pleased it’s still going.
We used to have an army surplus store in town , my mum used to get me stuff from there , it was tough going through senior school dressed as a Japanese colonel

I remember Ryder’s from when I was a student at Birmingham University and I was in the OTC, the amount of kit I bought in there, from ankle twistiest, stuff sacs and pouches to a combat jacket.
Thanks for the vid, you don't see as many surplus stores as you used to, but i love having a gander, always loved the smell too, sounds sad maybe but it reminds me of my old G10's.

I have to question the gas mask purchase. I use various types of face masks for my job. Using the wrong one in the wrong situation would be harmful. What is that type of mask filtered for?
The masks are old military issue from Eastern Europe I believe. They are military issued CBRN filters, I am unsure at what micron limit they hold in terms of particle size. Probably best to stick with a more modern respirator in most cases.
Do they sell thermal overalls?
I can't see thermal overalls on their website, I don't recall seeing any in the store, but they do have some thermal items just not overalls.

If that were true, then the commensurate amount of kit would be made, therefore relatively the same amount of surplus...do you understand?
