Hi Dave, great vid thanks. Just tried changing mine but could not get the new one to screw on. I managed to turn it through about 20 degrees but not to its lock position where it clicks in. I used the strength of 10 tigers to push it up to no avail. So I had to put the old one from Crossland back in. This went back in fine. The new one was from Britpart. Have you used a Britpart filter or other brands and do they differ in their fit ? Regards, Martin
Hi Martin, bummer, I hate it when things don’t go on when they clearly should. So firstly I was going to say check the threads are clean on the car and filter, but if you can get the old one back on it’s def not the car. So it does sound like you’ve been sent the wrong part. Compare the new and old filter, do they match in size and thread size. Just getting it on quarter turn implies it’s the wrong thread. Secondly about Britpart, I find their stuff fine, not always the highest quality but they are price well. There is one supplier I have stopped using as almost every order I have sent something back due to it being wrong. Their customer service is very good, but it doesn’t help when you have a prop shaft sitting on your garage floor and a car out of action. These days I buy as much from my local motor factor as possible. The type who supply the trade (I am not in the trade, just a normal Joe), the darkest and dirtiest shop you can find, as they always have staff who know what they are talking about and you can check the sizes there and then. Plus no p&p charges (big issue if you live in NI) and easy to return if not right. Good luck

Thanks for the advice, will contact Britpart and see if the part is correct. Might try a new Crossland filter after that.
