I’m 64. Every Summer as a kid my family traveled South to visit my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin on Big Pine then Key West. My Aunt and I were both born on the 23rd of June. We always celebrated the most wonderful shared birthday parties at Bahia Honda. Some of my most cherished memories. Someday soon I’d love to return with my own family.
Thank you for taking the time to share your travel memories. I hope you'll be able to visit with your family and have even more fun memories in the Keys!
There is cool stuff to see off loggerhead beach but you have to get out kinda far first. Got spooked my huge eagle rays there one time. I lived in Islamorada for three years. I miss it. Feels like home. Bahia Honda changed a lot after Irma but it’s still my favorite spot in the keys.
This park looks so nice! Especially with those ocean views 🌊 that sunset at the end looked breathtaking 😮 Great video 👍🏼 I’ve just subscribed to your channel!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m hoping to share more Florida Travel guides this summer, so hopefully you’ll have more inspo for your next vacation across the pond! 😊
Heading to the keys soon! Hope to stop at Bahia Honda! And I want some of that fried key lime pie! Was it good? Or should I stick to the traditional key lime pie?
There are so many traditional key lime pies choose from, so I’d definitely recommend trying this fried version for an extra unique experience! It’s really rich so I shared it with my husband. Have an awesome trip! 😄
Bahia Honda is real nice. But if you have a way to get out to the Dry Tortugas. Thats the best snorkeling in the keys. Come face to face with a 800 lb nurse shark. They are harmless, but they dont see very well so thier curiosity will have them swim up and put thier face inches from yours.

Amazing snorkeling. Saw a stingray , queen conchs , barracuda and more
Wow that's amazing! I can't wait to go back!

Islamorada was so nice too, but yes, Bahia Honda was definitely a highlight of our Keys trip!

@@TheNomadicFoodie YAY!
Beautiful park but you won’t see the sunset unless your focusing on getting your car packed 830 is close time.
True in the summer time. We went in October and were able to see the sunset. We love this park too! 😊
so much algae though
There was no snorkeling in this video. What a disappointment
