I bought my first package of CDC back in 1986, at that time I never thought a bulldog clip would make tying with it easier. I would cut and stack in my fingers tie it on in the middle and do a little clipping and I had a wing for the # 24 and 26 BWO that hatch on the West Branch of the Farmington. I have a bunch of clips now, my favorite is the Swiss CDC clip, I got to get the small one.

I have seen a very simple cdc clamp, well I wouldnt describe it precisley as a clamp but get the job done, don't remember the name of the brand but it was a series of clear thin sheet of some sort of plastic conected using a sticker, and you could fold them toghether to capture your material, I think the idea was to be able to make brushes with ostrich feathers, maybe the Pike fly tyers will know what Im talking about.

I wish Swiss CDC made a much bigger clip for working with rabbit hair.
