It was the Ottomans who admired the Polish army, and later respected Poland for the fact that Jan III Sobieski defeated them at Vienna. After that battle, they respected Poland so much that they never agreed to the partition of Poland. For them, this country existed all the time.

And I'm telling you that as a Polish - good luck everyone.
I remember being at a summer carnival at school once, we had a polish kid in our class, he stuck his arm up when asked who wants to ride a horse and the moment he sat in the saddle there was a bright flash and he was in full winged hussar uniform and armour. The few turks at the carnival turned on there heals and ran like the devil was behind them.
This was the third time he changed in to different uniforms.
303 squadron uniform when we went to a battle of Britain museum.
Polish home army uniform when we went to Warsaw.
We had no idea how he did it. Then I found sabaton and it all made sense

Once, I was tasked to be the OpFor/Red team on a training exercise in the army. Through a combination of better knowledge of the area, suicidal aggression, and random bullshittery, we’d managed to force an infantry platoon to withdraw after trying to ambush us. We were about to give pursuit when a fucking tank platoon comes charging down the road right at us.
