You didn't get the point of the video, there are differences, they didn't make this video to say they sing bad, but to say using it every performance is putting a standard to live vocals that are simply humanly impossible to reach, so when they do sing live people think it's horrible/bad when it's not, it's perfectly fine for a real live performance.
The thing is most idols can sing very well it's just that us as an audience are so used to hearing refined autotuned vocals so much that when you hear what an actual live performance is supposed to sound like you're disappointed and think it's bad bc of a few minor inconsistencies that are actually completely normal. I saw you're faces grimace many times when the live vocals were perfectly fine and how it's supposed to sound live, and that's the sad reality. People don't realize that voice cracks, pitch issues, and heavy breathing is perfectly normal in singing because these people are human beings at the end of the day.

True, them saying that so and so needed the auto tune is a bit ridiculous. It's like saying if ur face isn't 100% perfect u need plastic surgery or at least makeup. The singing of Ailee is not bad not that she's the best in the world it's just not going to be perfect just like no one's face is perfect no matter how beautiful. Let's appreciate REAL voices, sometimes flaws add character.
Tbh I am literally HAPPY when I hear idols' voice cracks or heavy breathing at this point. Because this means they are actually singing. I stan artists, not robots. I mean lip sync or autotune from time to time is OK, every artist does it. But first, you have to prove your talent and abilities. Example: BTS are one of the most popular artist worldwide. They are known for great performances and charisma. You can watch their concerts, MAMA/MMA 2019 performances, Grammy performance, Jimmy Fallon and you know they CAN perform live. So when they use autotune or louder backing track from time to time, no one bashes them. Or Mamamoo. Literally the best vocal group. They are queens period. Watch their medley or Queendom performances. Even their debut stages are 100% live. So when they lip sync or use autotune (even though they dont need it at all lol), no one hates on them. Or Blackpink, the most popular girl group in the world. They were hated a lot for their vocals but just go watch their Coachella or their concerts. They CAN perform, you have the proof. The same with Itzy. They are not the strongest vocally group, but most of the time I can hear them above backing track and I know they are singing live and I love it.The problem is, nowadays we dont hear some groups singing live AT ALL. Like Aespa. Its obvious the girls CAN sing. Come on, Its SM. So why dont let them sing live? Not even once? I cant stan a group like this tbh.
I think Ningning was upset because the staff turned the volume down on their mics. That's why she sang on a higher note to be heard.

The thing for Produce series is that they did a evaluation with Vocal, rap, performance, and the performance group didn't have to sing live since they were being evaluated just by their performance and their choreo.
Other positions did live, and we could tell it obviously.

What the creator means is that those popular soloists she/he mentioned aren't known for their vocals. IU is indeed a great vocalist but in her case, I think she's more known NOW as an actress because of how k-dramas are getting more and more attention worldwide. She is indeed a popular vocalist especially in SK but I think she's more popular now as an actress worldwide. The creator isn't saying that IU is JUST an actress :)).
the fact that you expect them to have perfect voices is the problem. you have very high expectations thinking they have to make it perfect and you're disappointed if they don't, which is wrong. making mistakes is part of a career, it is impossible for idols not to have them because it is part of living to make mistakes and learn from them. the world is so obsessed with perfection and the smallest mistake someone makes will be pointed out by everyone and that's wrong because mistakes are NORMAL. Idols train for years (usually) or months for what they do, so it's a bit out of place if someone tries to tell them what they can and can't do, because only them know their abilities perfectly. they are human so think of them as one, they may have problems with their voice, maybe pain in some part of the body that does not allow them to dance "perfectly" or small mistakes when rapping, but that's ok, that's what people have to understand, that mistakes are completely fine and normal.

“IU is a beloved actress” yeah she’s an actress but also an amazing vocalist??? like yes she’s also a famous actress, but she is most recognized for her singing and songwriting. If anything people check out her acting because they know her as a singer, it just so happens that she’s talented at both.

Lisa is a main dancer and a lead rapper thou and in the video it's her Money christmas version dance performance in her channel LILIFILM OFFICIAL. It's insane saying she got a FREE PASS and was excused because she's the main dancer unlike others. And also saying she never sing in her solo live just to make a point for others misfortune is disgusting. Give me proof then. That video is somewhat misleading. To tell you honestly, she was accused too..saying doesn't sing live and her mic is off but she proved to haters that she sing live in their encore when her mic accidentally hits the trophy and also to their concert when she intentionally stop singing her part and only backtrack music can be heard. Given that Blackpinks performances is accompanied with backtracked music, we're still blessed to hear their raw vocals. In the early time of their career you can tell that her voice is not that stable but they worked so hard in a group to give to the fans a quality music we deserve from them. And saying ROSÈ is inferior is an LAME OPINION. FACTS: BLACKPINK IS LOVED BY BLINKS UNCONDITIONALLY.
At 3:15 if u listened carefully she said the groups she's showing actually showed live performance while others lip sync so she is praising the ones she put in the vid cause even if they had autotune in some performance and no autotune in others they still sang live while some kpop idols dont because they focus too much on dance they dont even have to sing live and use pre recorded vocals and not raw vocals

Auto tune really is a thing even in Hollywood biggest artists. There are a lot of International artists who are using auto tune thou. Theres a big diff between live singing and autotune. Mostly auto tune seems perfect but when no auto tune the artists real live voice will show.

Idk if it was in the vid bc I forgot but also iland was SOOO auto tuned I hated it so much. Not to mention enhypens songs are still heavily autotuned which is why after their latest comeback I can’t stand their music anymore. They shouldn’t have debuted if hybe/cjenm thinks they need that much autotune when I KNOW most of the members can do just fine without it. It’s mnet tho so what do we expect.
