Credit where its due, you have just saved me a fortune by not having to go to a garage. Followed your video exactly and got it done myself with a £30 replacement actuator ! Thanks for taking the time to make the tutorial 👍

Thank you from Dublin for this super step by step tutorial, you saved me around €300 vs letting local garage do the swap and got the satisfaction of doing it myself too, thank you!

hi, great video to help with the front doors. its the only video at all i could find of a lock replacement at all on any door for this model of qashqai , even though it was my rear lock i was replacing. it helped in parts for the rear lock so worth a watch. it also does some things in different order but doesnt make too much difference i dont think?
for anyone who is in the same position looking to change their rear lock there are some similarity and some differences. ended up buying the haynes manual to help finish the job.
inner panel comes off pretty much the same, same as the weather sealing sheet ( the book says use a sharp knife to cut the sealant away from the white sealing thing, id recommend because i ripped mine using hands)
one big difference is the window guide thing, in this video you are able to just pull it off. for the rear, there are two extra screws near the weather stripping you have to pull back and unscrew to undo. then some wiggling to pull it out. also a little tricky to get back in.
another thing i had a problem with was getting the outside door handle off. once you use the t30 bit to undo that retaining thing behind the grommet . it should be easy to remove the handle. i found even though it was fully unscrewed. i couldnt remove the handle. ended up using a small magnet to make sure the screw was all the way out as poss in its section. after that i was able to pull out with ease.
apart from that off the top of my head i think everything else is similar or the same. highly recommend the haynes manual till someone makes a video on it.
like i said great video just hopefully some extra help for anyone who comes across this video who wants to do the rear locks.

Excellent video. Is this exact same for a 2017 J11 model

Hi, Nice video. What was the actual issue with this? I have a 2017 QQ Tekna and the passenger side inner handle wont open the car any more :-( it locks fine and can be opened from the outside. Will this be the same issue with mine or is there some kind of baby lock that has activated somewhere? Thanks

I just got quoted £205 direct from Nissan for a rear door, didn't think that was too bad but still rather do it myself.
