3:20 You kinda breezed past Maractus and Corsola without mentioning that they're Regional Pokemon that will be available worldwide for a limited time, and this is a good opportunity to grab them without needing to travel. That's much more significant than simply being "rare" like Vullaby and Rockruff.

My main motivation is the extra raid passes, boosted shiny odds, and regionals. The corsola spawning off incense, and I need that shiny. Maractus shiny won't drop till Unova tour in feb, but I'm hoping the rockruff will be dusk form.
If you can have the upgraded shiny chance in raids, that might be worth it

I really bought it for most of the boosts like unknown spawns with incenses and increased shiny odds
I do it cause it's great making memories, each global go fest I've had a blast doing with friends. I just think they're great events
Looking back to last year all the ticketed features are the exact same as last year, so not sure why we’re thinking it’s going downhill

Lowkey think the big PokémonGo TH-camrs are getting out of touch with the general public of PoGo’ers… players who are level 48-50 and grind the game as much as Daxi it makes sense to not value the shiny boost but I know the majority of my community is looking forward to that bonus the most. Maybe these videos are made for a different audience nowadays but it’s hard to constantly hear the game is dying when it’s really just players burning out imo…
It's not like he said the shiny bonus was trash or anything, he mentioned it twice and said that may be a reason why you'd want to buy the ticket and implied if you aren't interested in the increased rates then that's one less reason to buy the ticket. He isn't getting out of touch with anything he talked about both sides of the bonus, if you value it and if you don't value it. I feel like your making it seem like he should conform to what you lower level players value when the whole point of the video is to give the overall facts of the entire event and give HIS opinion on it. He doesn't need to conform to what other players see as valuable to not he has his own ideals.
Hey daxi i just wanna say this is a great video and i truly do appreciate how much work you put in i like watching these videos as they boost my hope for these types of events this will be my second go fest and really i see hope for a good time last year global go fest i caught 54 shinies total and was absoultely mind blowing i do these types of events for the shinies and just excercise and to go out more the negative reviews do get to me but i just hope for the best so thank you for this video
thank you for validating my thoughts and reasons for not purchasing a ticket this year... this is from someone who has purchased tickets in recent years.
undecided yet, will likely decide on the first day. already attending Go Fest NY, so there will be less value in the global pass as I will already have the Marshadow Research from NY Go Fest ticket. leaving just the money savings on raid passes and shiny boost. and the Go Fest special boxes will likely have better raid pass deals anyway.
The other bonus that might make it all worth is getting immediate access to whatever dusk form you chose versus starting with cosmog and having to grind candy to evolve into whichever you chose to fuse.
From my understanding the fused necrozma raids are the only 5 star raid on Sunday correct?

Notably, someone like my das bought the Whispers in the Woods ticket but doesn't have corsola. Getting the ticket can be good for him if he wants one unless he wants to trade one that I caught.

I've brought the ticket mainly for the boosted shiny odds, the extra bonuses are great but I've made it my mission to get every shiny pokemon. I've been saving my poke coins and been constantly getting 50 from gyms for the last couple of months just to buy remote raid passes for day 2

I only got the ticket because of the dusk main and dawn wings Necrozma as I don't have many strong ghost and steel type attackers

I usually have a good balance of raiding, catching mons, and doing research, but I can only play during day 2. So I’m on the fence for buying the ticket this year
Nobody players have catches XXL and XXS mythical Pokemon are obtained from completed tasks in any special research. For example Mew.

If they boost shiny raids almost to comm day levels and just change the raids passes to remote raid passes they will have no problems selling tix
Marshadow has been my favorite pokemon for YEARS, and no pokemon will ever be better than him, so this 15$ just for marshadow was extremely worth it. Hoping he isn't a 2 star.

Unless they make Galarian Corsola a regional, you'd have gotten that dex entry upon its release within Gen 8
Relicanth is the only one I need to get all Hoenn Pokemon. But unfortunately this is an Alola event.

also forgot to mention how go fests are kinda the only way to get unowns and if you dont buy the ticket you can forget about ever getting any of them unless you get lucky

How does those challenges works? It seems like the results or bonuses of those challenges are going to be avaiable for everybody (raid bosses/wild spawns/special moves).

Interesting that some countries get much better value from the ticket than others- just did the maths & 18 "free" passes in NZ would be $21, yet the ticket costs $25. Was going to gift my nephew a ticket, but he won't play long enough both days to warrant the ticket price as he mostly raids, so I'll just get him some coins instead, I guess.
It is always worth it imo if u are able to play as you get value for money just from free passes and research rewards, granting way more than $15 worth of perks
Will you get necrozma candy from defeating the fused forms in raids, or cosmog candy? Am I better off saving my passes for Sunday?
You will get both on Sunday and only Necrozma candy on Saturday. That being said, unless you want to push a Solgaleo for GBL, there is no need for Cosmog candy, as Necrozmas level dictates the level of the fusion
I think it also just depends on if you’re an active player. I get on daily, pay attention to events and spawns/bonuses I’m needing or interested in as well as I still just enjoy the game. If you’re not actively playing then you probably won’t care much for this. I’ve always felt like the 15 dollars is always worth it.

If your Necrozma is shiny, then yes
If you do the dusk and dawn necrozma raids do you get the actual dusk or dawn necrozma or just the energy?
If you defeat one of the fusion necrozma you will catch a normal necrozma with the energy u need to fuse that necrozma with solgaleo or lunala depending on if u did dawn wings or dusk mane

£14.99/$15 seems slightly steep for slightly better pixels, with pretty much the exact same bonus' as last year too. Only thing that would have tempted me would be the Marshaddow research, but since I disagree with Pokemon being behind a pay wall and since it will probably come free at some point, I will probably not be buying

Necrozma will be available as a shiny. Solgalego and Lunala fused with Necrozma wont be available to catch from the raid, once you beat either of the fused raids you will get the energy for the fusion and the chance to catch a Necrozma that can be shiny, you can then fuse your shiny Necrozma with either Lunala or Solgaleo:)

@@warriorgaming805 Just beat the Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings in raids and you will get some fusion energy...and you will be able to fuse once you get the required energy...Just like the primals...Only Difference: The fusion will last Forever ♾️
I always do terrible on GO Fest. The only time I did good was two shiny and a hundo Groudon and a shiny Heracross. But other than that my shiny luck is trash.

I’m thinking I’m going to buy the event for the 18 raid passes, but only use it on some of the meta relevant Pokémon during the event, and then save the rest for other raids, will the passes still be in my account after the event?
No, you will gain another free pass by spinning a gym after using a pass. You can only hold 1 free pass at a time

Probably just going to buy remote raid passes. I really dont believe there's an increased shiny rate, it did nothing for me last year. 6 caught but 2 were in-between the event hours so.... Will try my luck with the free stuff. Good luck everyone.

I need help, feel like a newbie and probably need it spelled out. I've been assuming that Corsola would end up in a reward for advancing through Timed Research, but based on the comments I'll be stuck one short. Then I'm up at 4am to get Necrozma and it's giving me crap about damage contribution for the first time since I started. INFO brings up a price chart for a PG subscription. Do we need the ticket and the subscription just to raid?
I'm asking because I needed one more push to 86 this game for good. I figured I'd ask first because of the time and money I've wasted.
