I like to add carrots (add a a hint of sweetness), peas, and bell pepper. Served on top of rice. . Sometimes those items can be found in some pantry boxes. You can also substitute the meat when you are able. I love the tomato base of this dish. Its delish.

It looks delicious. I did a bare pantry soup on my channel a few months ago. My husband is a firefighter and contracted Covid at work so I haven't been able to post in a while. How many minutes to cook potatoes?
It really depends on several factors (amount of potatoes, size they were cut, etc.). I like to cut them all the same size so they cook evenly. Also, try not to fill the pan up too much, as they will take longer if the pan is too full. If you add a bit of water after frying them up, it will help cook the potatoes faster. Hope this helps. I remember eating this as a child, sometimes with hamburger instead of hotdogs, but we always used ketchup and salt only for flavoring.
Ketchup was the best condiment, for my brothers and I, growing up. 😁
