I prefer to see everything provided you talk about it lol. Sticks, branches and logs all respawn after blizzards but not the one's within render. Some people think that they have to fall during the blizzard but they don't.
@@shivx1 Thanks for the feedback! Yeah this is one of those things that I’m not 100% sure about. For a long time I thought they fell during blizzards, which would lead to me wandering around looting in the worst conditions lol
Showing the more drawn out and tedious processes when "waiting out a blizzard" or something else is very appropriate given the game. You do a good job talking about your processes and I think for a lot of newer players, it can be a great source of knowledge on game mechanics and decision making.
@@briansnediker8192 thanks for the feedback! Great point about decision making. In my experience, the decisions made during those tedious moments really contribute to success - or failure!
Don't cut anything out for your first 30 days -- I think it's good for people to see those early game moments. I certainly enjoy them. After that, some selective cuts / editing out of things like inventory management, or some of the safehouse building and organizing is fine. But then getting a "tour" of what you did with your storage organization, and /or safehouse organization is still good and interesting (to me at least).
@@blackcatredriver5878 Thanks for the feedback! That makes a lot of sense. Later on, it’s all too easy for a short episode to just become inventory management.
@@aliimani8928 That makes me really happy to hear. I love watching TLD content to relax so being able to make content like that for someone else feels really great. Thanks a ton! 🤜🤛

I keep the existing one at Miner's Folly, but bring the gold mine's vise to Homesteader's for another option. It's a tight fit in that small space but you can do it, if you want.
@@daveh4106 thanks for the tip! I think I’ll leave it at Mountaineer’s hut for the time being. I like TWM a lot and will eventually be spending some time there.
@ConatusGames TWM is in my top 5. Spoiler alert. Wildlife refresh has added timberwolves on the lake and moved the bear cave closer to deer clearing, moved the moose and added cougar which changes the feel a bit.

@@ConatusGames The bear cave is still in the same spot, but the bear's roaming pattern has shifted. He now wanders down into Echo ravine sometimes, pretty much all the way to Chasm Cave. I ran right into him down there once, and it was a shock!
Saw your post on the subreddit last night and watched both Parts already. I'm really enjoying the videos and I think you have a lot of potential to be a big content creator in the community! BTW, that cabin up on the hill that you saw entering Ash Canyon was actually Homesteader's Respite, not Miner's Folly. It's a bit of a trek to get there, but once you do there is a rope climb you can deploy that only requires a short climb almost immediately after entering AC to get there, and there is a one way route down. It's my favorite regional base location in AC.
@@TheSurvivorChronicles I really appreciate the comment! There are so many great players in this community, and I’m just excited to part of it. Thanks for the info regarding Homesteader’s! If it connects to Miner’s Folly, then that’s another point in favor of Miner’s as a regional base in late-game.
@@Fayreangel oh cool, I was wondering if it could be goated. You can do that from bitter marsh? If it’s not too cheesy, that might be the new route for me!
@ yes, up from Bitter Marsh, facing the respite it’s to the left. Walk along until there is a snow slope with a couple of trees at the top. Walk up until you can’t go any further, turn right angle to the right and goat across the rocks until you reach the slope you can access. Take plenty of bandages as you may get 4 sprains!!

There's already a workbench at miners folly you don't need to build one

@@blackcatredriver5878 good idea! I didn’t like the idea of taking the one from angler’s den.
The fat does smell a little so consider dropping it near where you might want to render for oil later.

There is reasonably easy goat up to respite and then on to miners and then the gold mine. Only the climb up from respite this route
