Well done Derby. Next match against Bolton is a must must win to get clear space from them and close the gap on the leading three There’s still chance to win the league or be second
I cannot believe know one is not worried about Collins form, he’s not scoring again from open play, this happened at the start of the season, and now again in the middle, you could see with his play today, he tried his best to score, he was trying that hard to score, where he won the ball back, he could have played it into 2 players bombing forward, but he decided to shoot, we should have made that game more comfortable if if team players start playing the easy ball, let’s just hope we can show the rest of the league we mean Business by beating one of the top 6 on Saturday👍
I heard on radio Derby that there was a heated exchange between Collins and Warne when he was subbed off. Warne chased him down the tunnel. Somethings happened between them. 3 goals from our midfield is great, but we need a striker we can rely on. McGoldrick can't do it every week....
As the previous comment stated Warne was having a bit of a heated argument with Collins when he subbed him. Think that is why PW did not do the aftermatch interviews , might be wrong but certainly need another forward as Dobbin is also not consistent enough.
@@simontrotman109 I may be wrong but from where I was standing it looked like Cashin went down the tunnel. Don’t take my word because it was a few days ago now and I don’t fully remember
How is the Lino not giving offside for their 2nd goal. Look at the vid a Cheltenham fan put up and you can clearly see their goal scorer was offside on that flick on
No problem. I'm not getting any younger either. What the hell I was doing on here at 5.00 this morning God knows. Just thought it was worth mentioning in case you might want to alter your comment before anyone else picked upon it and say you needed to go to spec savers? LOL.
Surely this is Derby's fifth season at his level, not the fourth as stated by the commentator - two seasons in the 50s, two in the 80s and now this one. Or was it only one season in the Third Division North in the 50s? I thought this was Bird's first goal for Derby, but I could be wrong. Funnily enough I had been thinking just the other day that I really hope his first goal is a meaningful one that contributes to a win, as was the case here.
Bird's 1st goal for the first team was against Stoke last season. He also scored against 'Boro in Feb' last year. As DCFC Highlights says, with this and the goal against Grimsby, he's now got 2 this season. So 4 in total. You're correct, we finished runners-up in 55-56 (with only Grimsby promoted in 1st), so this is our 5th season in the 3rd tier. I'll forgive him though as I like Owen & Shaun's commentary 🙂
Bird also scored a cracker in the home game against Stoke about 18 months ago. A game not to be forgotten as it was the same day that Morris put us into administration. Regarding the number of seasons in third tier don't think it really matters as long as it not for too much longer. Third division north was in 1957 if I remember rightly so before my time although I am not getting any younger!
One of the goals of the season
Agreed. Just like the one against Stoke at home a while back. No keeper could have saved that.
It's only league one football 😆
@@richard7645 and? Its not like hes taken it round 5 league 1 defenders is it? "No keeper could have saved that" the post above says.
And it's still league 1 football, get a grip! 😆
@Richard ah yeah cuz all puskas awards have been won via players in the top flight of football
Big lad that Taylor! One for the scouting shortlist surely.
Great goal from Bird.
Well that flew in like a bird😳
Goal of the season from my man that only scores screamers
The sound of the net when Bird scored that screamer, absolutely beautiful 😍
seeing the Cheltenham goalie and how tall he is gives me hope as a small keepa to make it pro
Good luck!
Bird's goal is class, take a bow!! Also the black kit is pretty neat :)
Should have won this game comfortably but take the win and more on to bigger fish-Bolton
Great result. Come on you Rams 🐏 💪 👏

Decent performance but need to sharpen up for Bolton. Huge game
Agreed. Definite six pointer. May have a chance of catching top two with our game in hand.
yes but we are 4th they are 5th
@@amassey1541 yea that’s why it’s a huge game we are level on points
@@amassey1541 what’s your point?
@@jackhammond2901 We seem to be able to play better against the higher table teams than the lower so I’m fairly confident we can beat Bolton.
Keep this run going
