    Good lighting, multiple angles, changes in scenery, cool editing, clear diction, and a philosophy lesson to boot. Surprised you don't have more subscribers but at least you just earned one more.

    Great video bro. This will be my 1st full season on the water. Not fishing but kayak fishing. I took my time, at the end of last summer to get used to my new kayak, and worked on my own setup through the winter. Recon launch spots, and away from heavier boat traffic. Once you purchase a kayak, it's an investment, I've learned lol. Purchasing everything safety first. Then moved on to the fun accessories. I've fished my whole life with my dad, but on a 30ft vessel. Now I love my boat, being 12ft long, with a PDL drive, is much different. But thank you and other's that pass down your knowledge. All of us new kayak fishing anglers, look up to you guy's. Love watching you fish, especially in my winter season. Be safe, god bless bro! 🎣🙏🙏

      Thanks! I hope you have a good 1st full season kayak fishing. It's also great to hear that fishing with dad is a common theme for most of us! I'm glad you're enjoying the channel. I'm just having fun as I continue to learn and give a little back. Tight lines and fish on!

    My first and only video I've seen so far from you. The overall presentation invokes the principal I've found from Miyamoto Musashi in the Book of Five Rings. "To know ten thousand things, know one well" There is a methodical approach to mastery that you have and you are evoking it in every aspect of this. Not only was this video super informative, but is was a work of art too. Thanks for the extra effort!

    Not sure you will remember me, I was on a Harley and pulled over on The Loop setting up my GoPro while you were doing the same thing on your truck a few months ago. We had a brief discussion on our GoPro setups. Well in our brief talk you also discussed your kayak fishing and your channel. Well that discussion planted a seed that has led to my recent investing in kayak fishing gear for my Wilderness System. I bought it with the intent of one day trying to learn to kayak fish but never got around to it. When I heard you say in this video you’ve only been kayak fishing for one year and were a total beginner, well now I’m really excited! I love tip #5. In motorcycle riding we say it’s not the destination we love, it’s the journey. I’m so looking forward to this one. Thanks for putting out this channel. It’s going to be a great resource for me. Wally

      Hi Wally, yes, I do remember you. I met you near what we call low bridge...closer to Old Dixie Hwy...and I was fiddling with my GoPro on my roof and you were parked behind me. Congrats on the investment in kayak fishing gear....I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And thanks for subscribing to the channel....I hope it helps.

    I get stuck in a rut on locations. I will stick to a spot even though I am not doing well. Need to take your advice and pay more attention to the conditions rather than locations. Keep up with the good advice.

    • @KayakFishingAddict
      @KayakFishingAddict  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kevin, you're not alone. It's only natural to think about spots, especially if you've caught fish there before. Try out this tip and see if it works for you! Tight lines.

    This video deserves way more thumbs up, the tips are amazing and the number 1 tip is very true. If you like what you're doing, you're more likely going to do it more often. Take your time and don't rush it....
    It's not about getting to the end go, it's about enjoying the process.
    Well done mate, keep up the good work. Liked and subbed

      @@ashleeevans9042 It all depends on budget and where you're fishing. The ideal one to get in my book is the Hobie Compass. The newer models come with the kick up fins so even better than my older blue Hobie Compass.

    Another great video for a rookie Minnesota fisherman! I will save and will keep coming back to the tips given when I return next winter.. When you use the tide chart I assume you go off the ORMOND BEACH (HALIFAX RIVER) site but is it different for the marsh as it is a ways away from the monitering station or is that chart pretty close. I love your analogies and also seeing Gracie is a treat. My chocolate lab is waiting in the suburban to go for a ride. Man is a dogs best friend.

    • @KayakFishingAddict
      @KayakFishingAddict  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Wetz....glad the tips are helping you out a bit. Chocolate lab....nice! Actually, the "FLAGLER BEACH (SMITH CREEK)" buoy is the one we use for the marsh near High Bridge. It's probably the same distance, but it's closer to the Matanzas Inlet which is where the ocean comes into the Halifax River. The other inlet is further south ... Ponce Inlet. Since Matanzas is closer it seems to have more of an effect on the the High Bridge marsh system.

    Great informative video and great tips for every angler. I just noticed you also use Kast King products. I use their reels but my rods of choice are the Ugly Stik Inshore Select series. Thanks for all the tips in this video. Maybe we can meet up one day and fish. That would be great. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Again happy one year anniversary look forward to meeting you on the water one day maybe even playing around of golf with you I’m right down the highway from you in Orlando tight lines keep fishing and keep the videos coming it’s a pleasure to see you doing what you do. I bought a bait caster recently, I see you use them have you ever thought about doing a video on how to use your bait caster or how you set it up I would appreciate it I don’t know about the other anglers but I Schurwood thank you again for your content happy anniversary keep fishing. Be safe.

      Tony D, thank you for your kind words and thoughtfulness! I do have a lot of fun out there, it's genuine. Perhaps one of these days our paths will cross, in the interim, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. Congrats on the bait caster...it takes a little getting used to, but when you get it, my opinion is that they're much easier to cast accurately from a kayak than the other designs. I'll put your setup idea on my TODO list.

    hey, been out the three times in the past few weeks and keep getting skunked!? how often do you get skunked or have a hard day out there?

    • @KayakFishingAddict
      @KayakFishingAddict  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Zach. Interesting. Are you fishing the same marsh I am or are you located somewhere else? It's rare that I get skunked, but I do have some tough days. ....when I do get skunked it's usually when I don't follow the tips in this video :). That said, if there's greater than a 50% moon and the tide isn't moving during the day...things can get super challenging.
