Creating A Perfect Godlike Crit Build As Cryptid in Brotato 1.0

Today we check out Cryptid, a very interesting character that synergizes with trees. You gain only 50% of the material out of enemies, but every tree at the end of the wave gives you 12 material and experience, but each alive tree also gives you 3 HP Regeneration. Additionally, upon dodging you gain 3% Attack Speed for that wave.
To compensate for the early loss of material on enemies and to avoid hitting trees, I decided to go for the material knifes, which on a crit can give you bonus material (unaffected by the reduction), with the goal to switch over into Shurikens that can use our already build up crit and melee damage - but I didn't expect how perfectly well this run played out.

Some of your daggers are on the opposite side of your character from the enemy, which means you could actually run into a situation where your range is low enough that even if they had infinite damage and attack speed you'd still get hit if you attacked with the daggers on the opposite side of your body from the enemy because you _don't_ have infinite projectile speed. The enemy is able in this situation to close the distance between your hitboxes in the time it takes for your dagger to pass through your own hitbox from behind.
I think that's one of the reasons you took an unexpected amount of damage on wave 9.

would be nice for this character to have a toggle to tell turrets to either not attack trees (default) or attack trees, so you can feel free to take them without fear of nuking your HP regen. maybe make it so you can only toggle it 11 - 2*danger level times if that's too OP (so in danger level 5 you can only toggle it from default no-attack to always attack)
I like it lore-wise that the Kryptid doesn't want to use technology.

the problem is because there's so many characters and unlockable new items and RNG there wouldn't be much of a guide outside of generic stuff like the different bosses, weapon tier lists, etc. (which would still be a good video from Dex don't get me wrong) - in my eyes it's kinda like Pokémon where you'd either just have to play to learn which 'mons have what types and abilities and niche counterattacks and builds and such, or become a wiki gremlin.
imho sucking is part of the fun in games - it's so satisfying starting a game and being overwhelmed/scared and dying a lot and then improving yourself to the point where your past self is amazed and in awe at your current self; it's a good motivator. and besides, if everything was easy, it'd get boring really fast. so suck; suck a lot. then suck less. then suck even less. then don't suck. then explode.

@Dex can you use Speedy in combination with Lance once? It’s a crazy combination. Past 70% speed It become crazy. The damage boost is sick

I cannot unlock this character, it's the only one I can't get. Not sure which other character to use to get 10 trees. I've tried a bunch. I know some of it is luck and just restarting if you don't get the tree item first wave. --- Never mind... found out how to unlock. You just need to use the explorer and get a tree item right away whilst dodging everything with melee weapons in round 3 or 4.
Challenge for you play ranger and use only crossbow it is the hardest run you will have crossbow on paper seems good but it doesn't scale how you think it does try doing a run with that
We did a crossbow only run on the Hunter, I wouldn't say the Ranger is optimal for that
