Finally someone talk about these topics. I suffered a lot and still suffering from bullying. Thank you for discussing these important issues , we should normalize to talk about it. All things that you both discussed in this podcast are so relatable to me. Ahmad Bhai kindly arrange a podcast on issues of relationship between parents and children and communication gap between them.
Desi parenting is full of toxicity. I was in school and my mom used to ask me why are you so brown. Also, a lot of people pointed out specifically how I ugly I was due to dark skin tone. I have never been loved by my parents. Showing love to kids was an alien concept to me. I can share a lot of stories but I am at the loss of words. I can't thank you guys enough for talking about it. It's so brave of you. I also have eczema so I can relate with it. I have chronic tension headaches and depression. I do not speak about those because I have to act like I am ok. As I am listening to your video, I am adding more to my comment. I agree with you about pregnancy related comments. A lot of family members have to comment on pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Please seek help, don't go through this depression alone. You're really brave for surviving through everything that you did. But don't push yourself to be brave alone. Find a therapist or someone who could help you. I pray that life gets easier for you and you are blessed with the best of everything in life. You got this!
So sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better and grow into a beautiful person - inside and out that you deserve to be. And I don’t mean that physically. Hope you find peace.
I don't go with Your Point that Desi Parenting is full of toxicity. I've best Parent although they beaten me only because of my Faults. It's thing that you've tell them rather having a lava of Hatred and oppression.
@@sabihurrehman9038 just because you didn't have a toxic experience doesn't mean no one else in the entire country did. The poster is not talking about your parents, so there is no need for you to disagree with him/her and invalidate his/her experiences.
Mann!! I cried by the end of this video. I've been so bullied on my looks, and the rest in my life has been destroyed by my narcisstic family dynamics..
Yes i faced a bullying in my childhood due to my complexion.... My classmates used to call me witch bcz of my dark tone.... And most important thing i want from you people is to discuss openly about mental health which is significant in our life more than anything as i am a psychologist its a bitter reality that 95 percent people are mentally ill not bcz of there genetics but bcz of other people
Mashallah bohat achi video hoti hai ap ki mai na ajh hi first time dakhni start ki hai ....kia ap ki ussi fasialabad wali larki sa shaidi huey thi...kia ya wo hi hai mashallah sa...
Well done... topic of discussion is too good. I also faced alot of bullying regarding pregnancy and child birth. I was in PPD till 4 months but nobody understood except for my mom. Had a very traumatic delivery and in laws forced me to do house chores just after 10 days " tm koi anokhi maa nhi bany jarahi.... tmny koi anokha bacha nhi peda kia, hmny b kiye hn"... I still didn't connect to my 1st born just because of these traumatic experiences. Now have 2 and people start to compare both, bara wala gora hy chota tera kala hy, bara wala sokha hy, kuch khany ko nhi dyti tm. I'm literally now known as "moo phat" ku k ab agr koi ghalat baat krta hy to phr usko suna b parti hy mjsy. Jinko idea hogya hy wo to ab koi ghalat baat krty hi nhi ... Hope someday our people educate themselves 🤞🏼
Very welldone both of you. Its reality we all are facing that kind of traumas parents have major role for our guidence parents need to guide their childrens to overcome form traumas even parents face traumas at their time. We all are equal
Agree with this 100% as a fellow eczema sufferer and Pakistani girl. Shaming for post inflammatory skin hyperpigmentation is very prevalent in our society sadly.
The moment you said acne I recalled the bullying I have faced and I m still facing it... 😢 but I have learned alot.. I always try no to bully anybody... I wish people could do the same...
First off thank you for talking about the apparent taboos not only just for the sake of talking about them but that too in an empowering way, secondly when you said 'you have to be at peace wth yourself only then you will be able to speak up about it" it is so true and I want everyone who is suffering from anything that makes them question themselves, coming from someone who himself suffered with mental health issues and suicidal thoughts and was bullied for it, I know it is hard sitting with your demons and taming them is very hard but you have a right on yourself to treat yourself the way you treat your loved ones so take as much as time you want and keep swimming. Lastly PLEASE MAKE SUPPORT GROUPS, it took me over a year to get a support group approved in my medical college and I know how big a deal it will be to have some forum of that sort for general audiance and people. ALSO MORE POWER TO YOU PEOPLE. MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
Could you please shed some light on the subject of excessive jokery and mockery that goes on in the various friend circles. It's ok to joke around but to keep on *attacking* someone when they are clearly not in the mental space to laugh at jokes is mentally draining and honestly heart breaking. I'm a medical student and my *friend* group keeps on harrasing me on anything that I utter out of my mouth. Now I feel like I'm trapped because the *friendship circles* are already established and they just wouldn't allow outsiders to barge in. My time spent has been very tiring and I used to come home and cry after putting up with their shit throughout the day. I've decided that now it's time to separate myself and honestly just exonerate myself the toxicity they throw my way using the banner of *joking around*. I low-key feel like I've been a victim of bullying for the better part of year now. Would love to hear your take on the subject. People just seem to always be trying to act funny and clown themselves all while ignoring the fact that some people might just be going through some suffocating times in their personal lives. Thanks.
this is soo soo true raza and raazi although this video is old but I had to comment as this topic is so relatable... Meri aik female cousin hai whenever she meets me she says kia hogeya double chin hogaye hai ye wo patli ho walk karo(I am ALHAMDULILLAH healthy mera weight meri height k lihaz se ALHAMDULILLAH theek hai) but kiunke mai society ki 47 weight ki ni hoon plus i do have anxiety isliay she always always comment on my physic... acha that lady is underweight khud... but i never said that to her mene kabhi ghor b ni kia unki physic py... mai ammi ko batati thi and my mum said tayyaba unko khud dekha hai Tumne kaha karo Shukr hai mai apki tarah underweight nahi hoon... ab mai unko kabhi kehna nahi chahti thi laikin 3rd time she pointed out my physic I said mai to patli hojaungi ap b thora weight gain krlen and then she never pointed me out again! I think it's important to point out sometimes!! laikin abhi b jab b unse milna ho to mere mind mai hota hai k wo zrur kuch bolen gi to mai hurt hongi plus agar agay se reply kro to batameezi ka aik elehda tag lagjata hai I guess kisi ko trigger he nahi karna chahiye as they know who they are. But it's very very important to respect and love yourself the way you are and that's what I do ALHAMDULILLAH
I have PCOS, due to this I also have acne and hair growth on my chin side.. People do not understand this. I usually have severe pain before 4 5 days of my periods, during my periods and even after 1 days of that (premenstrual syndrome) . Log nahi samjhtay es bat ko.. Wo kehtay hn naazuk ha, zada hi over hti ha.. Maine apni saas se kaha k mri tbiyat ni thk aj ap mere husband ko khana de dein gi dopahar ma, she asked me "kiya hwa ha" I said periods hn.. She was like "bas? Ni tbiyat ko kiya hwa" Ma shock ho gai k periods enke liye koi condition hi ni ha.. Mje etne pimples b htay hn during that time and wo us pe b batein sunatey k etne danay ku hn muu pe 🤦♀️🤦♀️

How sad it is at so many levels. And boys being shamed for height, hair, and even skin in 2022. Really good topics covered.
Uhhhh you guys are gem of a person.and Ahmed you are soooooo lucky to have her as your wife. I was suffering from acne vulgaris and thank God my parents were soo supportive and I got treatment of 6 months on time but unfortunately I got a stupid friend circle. Like dude wth, you guys are making me insecure about my skin. I was using filters and stuff to cover that and face mask was a life savior for me wallah. Alhamdullilah I've overcome my problem of acne but I fear of getting that again 😩. And now whenever I see someone getting insecure about their acne, I tell them about my own experience and hope that might help them. Thank you guys for this beautiful podcast. It really really helped me out. Lots of love from my side❤️
Giving voice to voiceless and listening to the problem which a lot of ppl suffer frm but are afraid to talk about,is soothing fir the ones who suffer from stigmas and taboos
I agree. People can learn. I have realized i was very critical of others. And i have tried to change myself. We need to make prople realize it comes in bullying.
Such a good approach to educate people about these topics..really appreciate it plus Raazi is Stunning and so attractive ..i couldnt take my eyes off here beautiful face the whole time♥️
It was a great video. All the stigmas were brilliantly highlighted and explained 👏🏻 There’s another issue that exist in our society which is the pressure on women to do all the household chores including cooking even if she’s a doctor or any other working women. Despite of the fact that servants are present in a house, woman has to do all the household work cause she has to be a better bahu. Susral waley kaheen ge ‘jee ye bahu to khana nai pakati, doctor hogi apne ghar mei.’ I don’t know how we can overcome this issue. Please discuss this issue in your next podcast too .
Thank you so much for taking your time to speak on this topic. I have always been bullied on my height. And it all started from my home. In fact, I've been bullied the most by my family members. I hope one day they understand how they have crushed my personality with it.🙂
Same here Meri family m b yhi kha jta h k he time bimr hi rehti h I am suffering from muscle fatigue from last 5 years am 21 now and still have it and stomach issues but people don't understand
Generational Trauma.. It takes just one of us in one generation to call the BS when we see it to break the cycle. Again another wonderful podcast! Yeah you're right. My eyesight got weak when I was in six grade and my parents say: isko glasses lagnye ka shok ha. But I got them when I was in 10 grade. But it have only disadvantage that my eyesight got worst.
One thing that I want to scream at the top of my lungs is that spritual, emotional and physical are 3 different kind of needs and fulfilment of one need cannot compensate for the other. If your child comes to saying that they're hungry you wouldn't tell them to go and pray two rakat namaz nafl, because being hungry is a physical need and namaz is a spritual need. The time has come when we draw a border b/w spritual and emotional needs. Namaz alone will not help you nevigate through your unprocessed emotions, feelings and trauma.

I'm short height girl 5 feet. People who bullied me my whole life was my mother my khala's and my own czns.🙂 I lost my confidence..Meri self esteem hurt hui ha aur m issay boht bara loss maanti hu. Thankyou For discussing this topic.Yeh hai real life💯💯
I am having severe dust-allergy (I mean a really serious one that I can't tolerate a smell of when a cupboard opens and end up with flu and fever), acne, and the last is my dental treatment that got wrong due to some mineral deficiencies and can't be corrected. And yes, I get bullied in my university. Most of the time at my home due to this allergy majorly and acne.

Great video, and it's like you guys did this from your heart. Overall great show, one more suggestion make your podcast videos 30 mins. It will attract more audiences as people have a low attention span and will not see full hor long video.

I agree with you
