I think Spanian is genuinely the best solo vlogger on TH-cam, he speaks to the camera like we are there with him. He actually is very observant and sensitive to the environment and picks up things that mist people wouldnt see, like the pigeon early on in the video.
Love how it's just us and you, it does feel like you are our friend and you are taking us all along on your adventures. I'm a nearly 80 year old mother and grandmother, have lived quite a big life, its a wonderful thing to like your own company, good on you, alot of people can't stand their own company. Make sure you start to save money, I'm talking from experience, you need to squirrel away money for the future, invest in property if you can. OK I'll stop talking like a grandmother and get back to enjoying this adventure. Bless you, take care, have fun.❤️🙏👏👏👏👏
I’m a prison supervisor, and genuinely, I love your content my man. At about 12mins and 30 seconds, you mentioned your isolation and the way jail has made you. It does the same for staff mate, we all live and work in a very unnatural environment. When I’m out and about, I prefer my own company. Loved your observations and comments about kids walking with grandmother and pure life. You hit the nail on the head. We got back three days ago from a lengthy trip to my wife’s hometown in Greece. Exactly that. Friday, Saturday nights in the town square (platia), EVERYONE is there. Families, every generation, kids having a blast playing soccer and other games, parents sitting nearby in the taverna or cafe, the church doors open, etc etc. like you said we are poisoned, safe open community and family togetherness just doesn’t happen in western cities. And what parents would take their kids and grandparents to the city centre late at night in the west. No way. No wonder we are lost.
Wokeness is the evil that's destroying the family unit and christianity along with tbe whole pride lbgtcq movement. All designed to lower morals, take away the family unit by saying women should be ashamed to be good mothers and wives. The woke agenda has made christianity feel ashamed of our history and culture. All this together has made tbe populace weak and fragmented and to ashamed to speak out through fear of being labelled a racist or right wing. I didn't see one rainbow flag there or blue haired ugly fat people screaming at passers by stop the imaginary genocide of trans people! Wtf! It's very telling we not seeing this in towns like Vigo or the place on Greece u spoke of.
I am spanish less 100km of Vigo. Why is so different in western cities there? I mean here is normal. To point many grandparents go and grab kids from school just to go to park with them and then go our homes and we all diner or just here and there we say goodbye walking. I mean why have kids if they cant enjoy family?
I am Spanish I am learning English by myself. Our English education was pure garbage. All people who really know English is by private study and hard practice or being in contact with the tourists villages.
Im 26 Span and when you talked about kids walking around with grandparents it made me tear up. I was happy because i have a lot of fond memory with family gathers and travelling and also made me very sad that those times are over and the next generations wont get that feeling. I dont want to sound too dramatic im young of course but even this young i can sense and feel that. You are a very well articulated guy its always fun watching and listening to you. Hey brotha! Here someone from Vigo! I just came across your youtube channel and I have to say that I love it mate! I've also watched pt1 and pt2 of tracing your heritage btw. I really enjoyed every minute of your journey and the whole storytelling behind your roots. Ps: Im glad you bought Celta Vigo jersey to your son! Maybe we'll have a new aussie supporter. Brother your last episode was my favourite until I watched this episode. Very insightful conversation and exploration. Big respect, you keep going from strength to strength.
Hi! I’m from Galicia and I really enjoy the way you feel about this land. I don’t think we appreciate it like you do, we have a lot to learn from you. Great job❤
Cheers from a Galician residing in Sydney! I’m still amazed that you have connections to my homeland. When it comes to English, it’s worth mentioning that a Spaniard can explore the globe using their native language and can chat with Italians, Portuguese, etc, without any hassle. In contrast, people from Germany, the Netherlands, Nordic countries, and several other nations are required to know a second language to communicate when they travel abroad. This is one reason why many Spaniards don’t prioritise learning other languages. Interestingly, until just a few years ago, French was the second language taught in Spanish schools, rather than English. People in Spain know that Spanish ranks as the second most spoken language globally (based on true native speakers), following Chinese, and it surpasses English by a significant margin, although this might not be acknowledged in English-speaking nations. It's not a competition, just a fact, but I hope this sheds some light on your questions about why Spaniards don't prioritise English. Cheers, mate!! Keep going, awesome videos!!!

People who lived the life we lived couldnt cry, we couldnt be ‘weak’. Now you gotta make up for that shit. More life lad God Bless
I think the words you’re looking for to describe this place is: A simple life, kids playing outside with an emphasis on family. Food and eating together at a table brings a family together. I love your videos. God bless you and your family.
I am from Vigo, youtube just recommended your chanel to me first page. Glad i found it, very cool. Yes, people here in Spain doesn't have a good nor decent english, in Portugal it's the opposite because they don't voice dub movies or any other content, here we grow up hearing all dubed in spanish or gallego. Here you just gained a spanish follower for sure i enjoyed your content a lot. Un saludo hermano🐙

There's no other channel on YT where I can happily sit and watch for 1 hour straight, I could watch you all day long. I feel like I'm living vicariously through you and I'm sure many feel the same too.
Genuinely the most real and relatable vlogger/person we have left. You've helped me get through so much hard times and watching you also talking about perspective of our world really teared me up, we really are just poisoned. Thank you for being amazing and putting out this content that help others as I know it helps you as your therapy too
I'm from Vigo but I'm studying in Santiago de Compostela. I'm gald you enjoy my city, also you have appreciated it as it's worth it. I think Galicia in general is beautiful, with villages, coast, gastronomy, green landscape, beaches of white sand, mountains, rivers, all kind of landscapes (because of coast and inland areas). Santiago de Compostela, of course, is beautiful too, you should visit it.
When spanian got emotional about the innocence of that 12 year old with his grandmother, one could sense that Spanian was speaking of the life he would have wanted for himself at that age. It was like his innocence was taken away from him, at such an early age. I really believe the life that Spanian now lives, is one of being reborn. Trying to experience, feel and taste life the way or as close as he can to the real Spanian at heart.
It is crazy to see you enjoying Vigo, my hometown. It is as you say, one of the most underrated spots in all of Spain (and maybe Europe). Thank you for visiting, hope next time you visit the islands!
Just finished the video. I am glad you had such a good time. The revelation moment on the top of Castro mountain was beautiful. Nice words! From a local young guy living the true Vigo life is so nice to hear it. And also glad that you had a proper breakfast! For us Galicians is very important that our guests eat well. Thanks for your visit lad!
Spanian, I came to the last part of the video and I'm crying here with you.. it's so wonderful to see such a masculine man cry, allowing himself to be with his emotions, process them and release the tears...just like it should be...what a great example you're setting to other men on here...thank you, from the bottom of my heart, that you're comfortable and manly enough to be vulnerable with us and yourself.. it's so beautiful..may God bless you, abundantly.. sending love and hugs from Poland ❤

The spiel you had on top of the hill early morning about westerners being poisoned is the best thing i’ve heard you say. I am with you, we’ve lost sight of what life is about, everything about our life is poisoned. The material things and possessions, the garbage our kids are entertained with. The simple things in life that were so important to us like the memories we had with grandparents and enjoying the simple things in life is all gone for our kids. Cry all you want Span, we love you for it, i’m an emotional person also and it’s who we are and don’t ever hold it back. Thank you for taking us along, i really enjoy being part of every minute and support what you do.
100% one of the best solo vloggers to do it!, always feels so connected when ever you're talking too the camera, it always feels like its a one on one conversation, keep this up g !!
I’m 62 and my grandkids love that I love watching you 😂. You’re great and thanks for taking us on your evolving life journey. So inspirational and you absolutely crack me up 🤣 ❤
It's because you are stronger than anyone els bro. I have this also. Most people cannot be alone/face themselfs. They need people around them to be happy. To fill a void. ❤you strong❤
I love your perspective Spanian. It’s evolution of you the person. I’m 62 years old and I love your vlogs. Keep up the good work giving young people perspective.
Hey mate, I'm Spanish. Your last speech about life is absolutely TRUE. Agree 100%. By the way, the football jersey that you found is not "Galicia" team. That jersey is from Celta de Vigo, actually Vigo's city team. Very nice. Hoping you can go back one day to Mallorca brother. Keep up with your videos. We love watching them.
17:40 As someone from Portugal, just wanted to mention, the reason you see way more old people is because Portugal and Spain are one of the world's most aging population, people are not having kids, so there's a bunch of "boomers" and elderly people in ratio with younger people. Combine that with the younger generation heavily immigrating to other European countries such as France, Switzerland, Luxembourg etc, it becomes heavily noticeable. I love watching your videos, you show every side of your travels and I love your honesty, it's really authentic and true to heart. Keep it up 💪
I wonder why people are having kids less, Is it just a cultural shift or because of most people relocating? If I was born there I’d never relocate, it’s stunning!
@@levels1752 it's because of household income. Portuguese people are the latest to leave their parents home in the whole of Europe, not due to culture but due to the inability to afford it. So couples are marrying later, leaving their parents home later all due to having no disposable income after paying all the costs. The average wage is around 1000 euros a month while renting a room in Lisbon or Porto will cost you 800-1000 euros a month due to lack of policies and laws preventing foreign investors. In summary, people can't afford to live so they don't want to bring another life into the mix. I know "back in the day", people couldn't afford to have kids but will still have them, so there's definitely a cultural shift in the mix (people would rather travel and enjoy their lives if they can afford to). Portugal is a beautiful country so it's definitely sad seeing such a downhill but I guess that's what happens when greedy people are in charge 😢
I worked in Viggo for two weeks about four years ago and I walked around that area also. Viggo is great. It’s not to hot in summer and not to cold in winter. It’s a very under rated Spanish city. I have experienced most spainish cities at a deep level and I agree that Viggo is very under rated. Looks like it has improved since I was there.

Hello! this video definitely put a smile on my face 👏😃 I'm from Vigo but been living in Oxford for 20 years. Bumped into this and thought how unusual, a mad Australian ended up in my hometown. How adventurous you are my friend! Walked all the way to city centre to the 'La Guia' church! and yes, that area is the working class neighbourhood of Vigo where the workers of the shipyards used to live! What a tour of all those familiar places was! Funny you appreciate the dress sense of the locals, people dresses up way too much for my liking, and also they are proper 'starers', which I hate. I came visit once with actually my Aussie boyfriend at the time and he said that people kept looking at him as thinking 'what are you doing here Gringo'? which I thought he was right on point. Glad that you enjoyed the food and the views though! Saludos 🤗

I hope people listen with their ears and their hearts. And hopefully these special and rare moments start to come back in fashion. I would do anything to share more time with any of my now gone grandparents. PS. So glad you found your watch brother!!

There's no other channel on YT where I can happily sit and watch for 1 hour straight, I could watch you all day long. I feel like I'm living vicariously through you and I'm sure many feel the same too.
Same.
WOW SPANIAN..IM A 64 YR old grandma n your SO SPOT ON..LOVE YOU N YOUR BEAUTIFUL OBSERVATION..OF THE YOUTH TODAY🙏💯SO PROUD OF YOU SPANIAN.🙏❤️💯❤️Xxx
Wow! Two hours of my city!! Looking forward to seeing it! Thanks Lad!!
Beautiful town adlay. And no pride rainbow flags everywhere!
Shame it’s not Coruna
@@Greencelt5 I was thinking about that. It would be a good idea to come back and catch the train and visit Santiago and Coruña.
Hey what's that strange looking statue all about?
Spanian, I came to the last part of the video and I'm crying here with you.. it's so wonderful to see such a masculine man cry, allowing himself to be with his emotions, process them and release the tears...just like it should be...what a great example you're setting to other men on here...thank you, from the bottom of my heart, that you're comfortable and manly enough to be vulnerable with us and yourself.. it's so beautiful..may God bless you, abundantly.. sending love and hugs from Poland ❤
Love you Spanian your the real deal , you cry you tell us all how your feeling , when I know your on I become so excited, loving this long blogs, and thank you for sharing and showing us a beautiful parts , of this incredible world , blessings always 🙏💜💋
Best video of Vigo on youtube...very detailed, way beyond every other video that's just on the surface. Well done Anos!
The Gate to the Americas. ive seen your last videos here in my homeland Galicia. Welcome home too. Your abuelo has to be very proud of what u doing, u make us feel so emotional, the migration is the history of our people, our ancester who had to leave back in the days.
I love how Spanian’s personality and this long form content makes it feel like we’re just on a trip with a good friend
Best content on social media!!!
Gods really peeling the layers like an onion to get to the heart of Spanian and it’s a pleasure to witness. God bless your journey and can’t wait for the next one 🙏🏻❤️
Watching span after a long day of work is such a relief and a good way to relax 💯
So inspirational and you absolutely crack me up 🤣 ❤
Wait Nanna is that you ? 😍
Mom?
😂🤗🤔
Primera vez que veo un video tuyo, y me ha gustado mucho. Gracias.
It's because you are stronger than anyone els bro.
I have this also.
Most people cannot be alone/face themselfs.
They need people around them to be happy.
To fill a void.
❤you strong❤
Appreciate your personal perspectives and Mahalo for the Beautiful views
Life is sweet when Span hits us with a new vlog!
Yess love these long videos! Thank you for your content and sharing these messages!
Love watching and having google maps open and seeing the way you went and using street view like I'm with you there. 😂
Another chilled Sunday watch, thanks
Your are a real man and promote the world how it actually is. Full respect ❤
Welcome Vigo, my city! This is Spanish paradise, amazing food, nice spots and beaches. We have everything
this long-form content is top-tier 👍 thanks Span
Awesome content you shared. Love it.❤❤❤
Yess lad!! Another 2 hour vid!! Waiting to you in Scotland hope you enjoyed mate ❤

No joke. I cold watch you on your adventures, every day, bro!🏆
I loved when Spanian talks about doing things solo! I cannot emphasize how much I relate to that.
Normalize doing things alone & enjoying your own company 🫶🏽
Pressed the Like button before watching because we all know this is gonna be good! Spanian spoiling us again with a video that’s nearly 2 hours long…..DON’T TOUCH ME!!!!!
i also finished my comment with DONT TOUCH ME !!!! love it
As a Spanish citizen I recommend you to visit Andalucia, is in the south of Spain, with cities like Sevilla, Malaga, Granada, Cadiz,... you are going to love the environment and the buildings. Great video btw, it feels very familiar and relaxing to watch.
it is cool hanging around with you. really entertaining and its like travelling for a little while.
In my opinion, I have never watched a journey so spirit led as this. Everywhere you have gone in this part of honoring your family is amazing.
Doin Doin Doin, as I said a few day's back I have been waiting for your Four Part Travels where you finally got to visit you Grandfather's Homeland as obviously last time the trip was cut short when you had to fly home early after getting really sick. So now we're here and it looks amazing, I'm 20mins from London born and raised but in 2001 I was Disabled after two guy's in a Stolen Car smashed into our stationery Car whilst being Pursued by Police and Sadly I'm not able to Travel. Thanks to you Spanian I get to see all these Amazing Countries through your eye's and what makes your Channel the Best is you take us all with you and talk to us as if we're there, plus keeping it Real. Your honest if you Don't like a place or the food you tell us, No Sugar Coating we can't be bothered with Channels that try and make it all 'Make Believe.' Have a Great Trip as I am, hopefully we get to the next Three Countries aswell this time, LOL.
Hi, i’m from Vigo, al Sundays i go with my grandpa to (the church of the Guía) and never know that we can go upstairs on the church…

Beautiful city 💙
At around the 1:35 I realized why I like your style so much. Everyone forgets to live now in days.
The gronk on the pillar atemay.
_El Sireno (The Merman)_
_This aluminum sculpture of a half-man, half-fish figure is located in Porta do Sol square. It was created by Francisco Leiro, a key figure in the Vigo movida, and has been there since 1991._
There's also.
Monumento a Julio Verne
This statue depicts Jules Verne sitting on an octopus in the Montero Ríos gardens. It was created to commemorate the French writer's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, which includes a chapter about the Bay of Vigo.
Perspective really does change someone's life.. You'll never grow without looking at life from someone else's perspective. It changed mine
Loving this set of vlogs & I am so glad you got your watch back but I reckon you would've got it back if you did your reps at lunchtime. Amazing to watch your vlog with all your ancestors in the churchyard, that blew my mind. I reckon you could've knocked on any door in that tiny place & met cousins etc. Viggo was amazing. I love the Netherlands & can't wait to watch that one. Pity you didn't get your soccer Jersey. Much love & *Virtual hugs*
I look forward to seeing more of your content brother, can't get enough of your vids. Keep it up love your work
The next episode..heyy yay yay💯🔥 Mad lad, last episode was EPIC got abit teary for ya mbra🙌🏾
As an introvert It’s nice to see the world through your vlogs, I too prefer my own company, I don’t really like crowds so I really appreciate your videos not scripted just real and raw not to mention funny
Its ok to change.
Reminiscing has its beautiful place alongside hope for a new future.
Life is for innovations and for remembrances.
Perspectives bring peace. That is where lifes power is. ❤
Hello! this video definitely put a smile on my face 👏😃 I'm from Vigo but been living in Oxford for 20 years.
Saludos 🤗
Please go to the Dalmatian coast of Croatia - that’s where you’ll see some of the best architecture - Dubrovnik, Split, Trogir, Zadar and Sibinek. You will fully spin out!!!
Brother, that picture you painted of the grandmother with the grandson enjoying their time together really wrecked me bro. What you said is so true! And it’s so sad! I hope people listen with their ears and their hearts. And hopefully these special and rare moments start to come back in fashion. I would do anything to share more time with any of my now gone grandparents.
PS. So glad you found your watch brother!!
Your videos are great as of late! Enjoying your travel vids a lot.
I’m from Spanish heritage but I live in the Uk. The speech at around 1hr 33 really hit me hard Spanian 😞😢 because I feel exactly the same cuz 💯 it makes me sad seeing the world my children are growing up in. I wish everyone could watch this part of the video and listen. You are such a real soul. Appreciate you bro. Thank you. 🙏🏼
Another 2 hours?? I'm here for it! Let's ogggg❤😁
Love your content dude love watching all of your stuff! Been to Spain stayed there for 2 months and I know exactly what you mean!!

This kind of content is so unique to youtube and you are one of the best at it! There is a bloke named john rogers who covers areas of greater london, he calls it psychogeography. Another guy I like is Dan bell over in baltimore
You're just a normal guy, mate, and that's why your channel is liked. Cannae, wait for your Scotland visit. I'm Scottish, and I can't wait to see where you go.
