    I agree with this completely but up north is different than down south , because our water temps fluctuate so much here , and up north the temperatures are much colder , I’ve caught bass here on topwater in December and January , depending on the cold or warmer weather we have here, loved it mr Randy

      I used to have the same perspective. I'm from central Texas. I have been in south minnesota since beginning of May. The water fluctuates way more here. A lot of the lake aren't over 15 deep. I was surprised at hoe fast the water gets hot here. We've had about 10 days over colder weather and the lakes are already 40s the shallower one were already icing up.

    Just want to start by saying thank you for all that you do. Sitting here last week with wife in afternoon trying to talk myself into going fishing. Then watched you video about fishing in winds of 15 mph and wind out of south and a cold front coming. It was all lined up for me so went fishing second fish was 23 inches 7 lbs plus. Thanks so much for info. God bless

    We had a cold front with our 1st snow here in Ohio and the water temps went from 51 to 45. Today was 60 degrees out but 20 mph wind. I got skunked. 😂 I'm gonna try again tomorrow because its probably my last time out for the year in my kayak. 😢 I was catching bass before this front on crankbaits and poppers when the water temps were 51. Hopefully they are hungrier tomorrow!

    The last two weeks in NY i absolutely CRUSHED them on several occasions on rip rap banks on 1/2oz Strike King Banshee Buzzbait in black and blue with pitboss maching trailer and in on bluegilll pattern . Every bass was over three closer to 3.5 and 4 and caught a 4 and 4.5 and a 5.5 all a couple feet from the bank . Actually the 5.5 crushed my buzzer 6 inches off the bank. Randy you are correct on this subject

    Great video, I’m going this weekend, water temp around 60 on a very clear lake. Jerkbait topwater is the plan.

    Randy you should write a book on myths and misconceptions. I love when you touch on stuff like that. It’s so easy to have a subconsciously built in mindset about presentations that I haven’t even tried. Training to have an open mind is often when I manifest bites. Thanks man!!

    I won a polar bear tournament at Stockton a couple years ago, last weekend in November and it was cold, the water was cold 51-49 and caught my fish all on a walking bait. Slow slow slow retrieve

    I would have never thought to try these baits on cold water temps. I'll try them out this weekend on one of the finger lakes in NY. Thanks Randy!

    Caught many bass through six inches of ice fishing for bluegill early in ice season, five to six feet deep in the weed beds. Later in the winter when the ice is a foot or deeper they’re not there must be deep.

    Best slow buzzbait I've ever used...Strike King Tri Wing Buzz...that bait can be crawled like no other....1st topwater I pick up when the water reaches 50-55...Floating jerkbait is another for me in the colder water...Sunny days in winter, I've seen bass almost right on the bank at times...great clickbait video Randy 😂 Kidding

      @erictheissen1747 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, I think it’s called buzz king. You can fish those 3-blade ones extremely slow.

      @@erictheissen1747 yes, those..and they are like $5,6...drop or 2 of super glue to hold the skirt on..
      Great baits for the price & they work

    I remember a friend that broke out a buzzbait in late winter and spitting snow. In the back of my mind I felt like laughing. It ended up I put a buzzbait on. Nothing to brag about but they definitely were biting it!

    Very interesting and informative. Going to build some buzz baits & try this. Randy, despite the grief you are getting for raising the issues associated w/ the rapidly evolving use of electronics in fishing, I find your thoughts to be very perceptive and I agree with many of them. Fishing for me is a reprise from the increasing complexities of daily life. Too much use of electronics just moves that same stress onto the water (my sanctuary).

    I'm not a hardcore bass dude, but I'm here to learn anyway.
    Randy do you know about striper fishin'? That's something you might be able to help me out with if you want to make a video about them. I have access to lakes with them and rivers from the freshwater to the saltwater. So far I haven't seen any caught around the Chesapeake but they're here and I need to catch some. Not want, need. I think you understand.
