@@travelwithusadventures2862 I watched all three videos before making that comment. I agreed with your positive and negative assessment. The staff are very friendly and that along with the serene settings are why I would go back. They could improve the main restaurant, but the Japanese restaurant, Luna media bar and beach house food were good. By the way, you have a very calm way of presenting the information - I normally don't watch videos that are around 30 minutes (too long).
Your video was posted minutes before I made the booking. Great timing for that last reassurance that the decision was a great one. Excited for follow on videos of your time at the property. Thanks
@lawrencearchuleta5155 We would tip as we went along to anyone who helped us out. Each morning, we would also leave a tip on the bed for the housekeeper. Before we left home, we exchanged money for pesos so the staff didn't have to exchange from US dollars.
Do you recommend having cash on hand (peso or USD) for the resort for tipping if necessary? Also concerned about the taxi from the airport and if we should carry cash, how much would you recommend? Thanks
@Rhinosmith67 Yes, before we left home, we switched our money to pecos (a lot of smaller bills). I believe we planned for $100 per day to use for tips and taxi when we went downtown for the day. For airport transportation, we used Amstar. They picked us up and dropped off at airport plus in between hotels when we switched.
Hi, the resort is in the mountains. The beach club is apx 15 minutes away. The resort includes a free shuttle. The beach club is must-see. All drinks and food are also included.
They are limited on restaurants. But the food at the Media Luna by the pool was really good, the beach club was top notch...don't miss the beach club!!! The Japanese restaurant was good also. The only place we weren't entirely impressed with is the main restaurant with the breakfast buffet. The next morning, we were able to order on the menu, and it was better. The resort is beautiful, and we look forward to returning. My new video will be out on Friday. I will share our day at the beach club in this video.
that is my main concern before booking - looks like they only have the buffet and the tapanyaki restaurant with "real food"... I don't think i'd be happy for a multi-night stay... i guess the Media Luna and the beach club's foods are better than your usual burgers and pizzas?
@mtmt88 We stayed 3 days, 2 nights. We felt the selections of food were acceptable and we didn't go away hungry. From what we could tell, the restaurant somedays has a buffet style service, other times it's off the menu. During the weekend, they also have a food truck. We weren't there at that time to experience the food truck. The beach club and Media Luna have very tasty food, I felt it was far better than the typical fast food hamburger/pizza type foods.
We visited this resort in Nov, 2023 - I think you did a really good job of capturing the essence of the place.
@@SCShell_gwn Thank you, I really appreciate your kind words.

The Delta Marriott is a beautiful resort. Make sure to go to the beach club, the food is excellent there! That will be in my next video.
Thanks for the video! How did you tip the wait staff?

Hi ! is the deltapantry open for everyone in the resort or only the marriott elite member ? thanks !
It was open for anyone who is staying at the resort.
Great video... thanks! We just booked this resort but doesn't always get the best reviews for food. Did you have any troubles?
