Your channel 100% got me into booktube so thank you for that! And I've read so many of your recommendations. For September, I listened to The Graveyard Book, Small Spaces and the sequels, and I read Nerverwold Wake and am currently reading Bunny and just finished listening to For Your Own Good :-) Thank you for being you. 😀🎃
Omg I love all of these so much!!! Thank you so much for the kind words friend❤❤❤
O M G will you read Frankenstein already!?! It’s so deep and moving. It hurts. It’s amazing. The writing… chef’s kiss 😂
I agree, but it's important that you don't expect there to be a lot of action and thrill, because it's not really a plot-driven book. It is way more character-oriented and introspective. It is a really good book, but false expectations can ruin the reading experience, unfortunately (it happened to me and many of my classmates when we read it for school), but the discussions were so interesting
the accountability I need lmao hahahaha
@@booksandwine6245 I've heard this before!! I'll def go into the book expecting it to be more character driven 😊
@@alexandraroselyn I hope you enjoy it❤
My exact thoughts
OMG Lexi your impression of the Sanderson sisters put the biggest dumbest grin on my face 😆 Halloween came early because you are a treat!!! 🍬🖤🧡
I felt the same way haha!
It was so on point! Just awesome 😆
Love your recommendations and just cannot ignore how absolutely perfect your spooky decor looks ..gorgeous!!

Nettle & Bone is one of my my favorite reads of 2022! Mara is so funny and relatable and all of the characters are a pure joy to go on an adventure with! I hope you love it. Belladonna was amazing as well!
I'm sure I'm not alone in this: I'm going through a tough time at the moment and one of the big joys keeping me afloat is YOU! I'm so grateful, Lexi, keep being you and awesome 💖 also spooky emoji! 🕸
I’ve been wanting to read Monsters of Rookhaven for so long now! Glad to see someone else talk about it 🥰
I’m so excited to finally read it!!
🎃👻🧛♂️ I'm reading Dracula right now and wow! It is so creepy and spooky and so so good. I love how it's written in the form of various journal entries and letters. It's like all these spooky rumors and people who have no idea what danger they're getting into and it's great. Highly recommend for spooky fall book.
I love the spooky vibes! I’m currently reading Cackle and it’s so so good!
Omg I can’t wait to pick that one up!!!
I have cackle and im soooo glad to see someone else has xxx
'Frankenstein' and 'Carmilla' are fantastic! Favorite books of all time 🎃🖤
Omg you would love slewfoot the illustrations are stunning 😍 and the story is beautiful
Loving the mugs.....great to fill up with a hot beverage and read a spooky tale.
Thank youuu 😊
@@alexandraroselyn I am planning on going you the used book store the weekend for some good cozy mysteries. What authors do you suggest I look for?
I love the atmospheric recommendations. And the charming and whimsical books. Thank you for including books for those of us who love Spooky Season but are big chickens.
Also love Gothic stories...yes!
🔮Your autumn leaves sweater during the sponsor portion of the video is so so cute!! 🎃
Thank you!!!
Thistlefoot is soo good!! The writing is just absolutely amazing. It’s a long book but so worth the read!
I haven’t heard of many of these, but they literally all sound so interesting! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts :) long live spooky season!!

House of Hunger is my most anticipated book for the year. Can't wait to read it!! I also have plans to read Slewfoot this month. You have many awesome picks! I hope you enjoy your spooky season reads!! 🍁🎃🦹♀️🧟♀️🧞♀️
I have seen Frankenstein on a lot of TBRs this month, which is fun. I haven't read it since highschool. I'm due for a reread!
THIS HAS TO BE THE YEAR I READ IT!! 😅
Love the recs. Can’t wait to see you on patreon! 💀👻☠️😵🎃🧌🦇🕷🏚⚰️🪦

I picked Thistlefoot for my BOTM box this month, I'm so excited to read it! 📚
I picked that too!!!! It sounds so good!!
I loved " cackle" such a fun witchy read
Very secret society MUST be your #1. It’s cerulean sea with witches. One of my all time faves for this year.
Can you please move to New England?!! You're taste in reading and your vibe is perfection for this place. Your book reccomendations make me so happy! I look forward to your book reviews and recomendations daily. Thank you for being you and please never change. Lots of love from Boston. more books please!!! also, lovexwatching your old reading vlogs, Bring them back!!!!
I always reread the Wayward Children series in October
I was just waiting for a new list lexi. You are just amazing in choosing right books that sometimes give me goosebumps while reading them. Happy fall .
Omg thank you so much!!
I noticed a few of these from your book haul video - I decided to buy The Girl in White, Ravenfall, House on Moon Creek Avenue, Halloween Grindhouse, Halloween Fiend, and This Is Halloween from your suggestions. So far I've read The Girl in White (definitely atmospheric but didn't like it too much), Halloween Fiend (definitely creepy), and Halloween Grindhouse - very excited to read the rest as well as Slewfoot. Since you seem to like gothic style fantasy/witches, I highly recommend Juniper and Thorn - love it so much!
I just made soup 😁 with my own hands and no cans involved. I guess I'm ready for a cosy spooky TBR 🦇 I'm still reading the Diviners and The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland. I read The Girl in White... Its scary!!! But also beautiful
New to your channel, but I love your vibe and editing! Great recs, and I really appreciate your books mentioned portion of your description box because when I watch tbr's I open my Libby app and check out the books I can find as I watch along. 🎃
Don’t mind me just commenting once again about how excited I am for you to read The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, which I read after hearing you talk about it. It is PERFECTION
back to add that I am so happy to hear it’s high on your list 👻🧙🏻♀️🪄🎃🔮🧹
I look to hear "Hello Spooky Friends" every day! Sometimes I go back and rewatch videos that I've already watched just to hear you say that. I think I'm getting addicted. So, this month I'm reading Dracul and loving it. Can't wait for your next vid!!! 🎃👻🧛♀️
I did pick up Cackle and Belladonna last weekend. Can't wait to dive into these books! 🎃🍂💀👻
I just finished Slewfoot today, and I loved it. The art is beautiful and I found the ending to be very cathartic. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
I also plan on reading Frankenstein this season!
Thank you for this spooky review, right on time 🎃
Your videos always make me so happy! The book recs were spot on… Thank you👻🎃☠️
👻 You have put a lot of good books on my radar. I am participating in a few readathons this month so those prompts, along with my borrowed library books, are guiding my reads this month.
Loving the spooky reconmendations!!! I'm currently reading In the Company of Witches and A Spell for Trouble, and then soon I'm gonna be reading Witch Please and Kingdom of the Cursed
I just read Frankenstein and highly recommend the libravox audio to go along with it! I listened to the first portion to get me into it and that really helped, it's so so good!
Love your recommendations! I have some of these on my TBR. 🤞🏽✨️🖤
My poor friend..I feel your pain! My advice is to get Frankenstein out of the way early..😉🤣
I CANNOT wait to see your review on Thistlefoot-when I first saw it for BOTM, I totally thought of you! I’m about halfway in, and it’s one of my top five for the year, might possibly be number one.
HAPPY SPOOKY SEASON and GOOD LUCK with tomorrow!!👻🎃💀😈👹👺
SO EXCITED FOR THE PATREON 🎉
That impersonation was spot on. Thank you 🎃
I think the essex serpent by Sarah perry is my new fave atmospheric read! I’m reading these fleeting shadows now. 🦇
Ok your Winifred was spot on! 👌
I just finished Slewfoot and it is SO GOOD. I hope you love it 🎃
If you like The Girl in White, you'll love Lindsay Currie's Scritch Scratch!
I’ve heard that ones really good!!!
You’re Going To Love Belladonna Lexi cause so far I sure am and when you do get to it I Highly Recommend you pair the book with the audiobook cause the narrator is fantastic Have a Wonderful Day Lexi 👻🎃🕷🕸
I’m reading it now and I really like it so far!!
@@alexandraroselyn So am what chapter are you on? I’m just starting chapter 15 📖😊 And that’s awesome Lexi enjoy 😊
Listened to it on audible, really enjoyed it
Her cup is cuttteeee
I just finished Lindsay Currie's What Lives in the Woods which is a haunted house story that had me spooked and looking over my shoulder! I have These Fleeting Shadows on my Oct TBR from your recommendation along with Nine Coaches Waiting, My Cousin Rachel, Crackle and Phantom of the Opera. Frankenstein is one of the few books I have reread - every time it hits differently than I expect, so good.👻🎃🦇🧹
SO EXCITED!! 🍁🎃👻🍁🍁🍁🍃👻🎃📚📙📙👻🎃🍃🍂🍂🍁🍃🎃👻👻🍃🍁🍁🍂🍂🍁🎃👻📖📖📖📚📚🍁🍁🍂🍂🍁🍃🎃👻
Great video and I love your coffee mug.
The Gir In White is a fabulous read. I enjoyed it ALOT!
I am finally reading Frankenstein after having it on MY TRB for two years!! The first couple of pages were kind of rough for me, but then I was really drawn in.
OMG even more books to fill my october TBR 👻🎃
I just finished the Kate Marshall book. It was good. Very atmospheric and some good twists. I hope you enjoy. I’ve got House of Hunger on hold at the library. I’m also interested in Dowry of Blood.
🖤💀
1. I am super interested in reading Slewfoot.
2. Olivia told TH-cam that she's trying to get you to read the Veronica Speedwell series and I am absolutely in support of this idea.
I did not need anymore spooky books added to my already mood reading list my TBR game gave me this month! These all sounds so good! 👻💀🎃☕️📖
not me adding even more books to my already too long TBR for October... 😅 also Not the Witch You Wed sounds right up my alley!
yes!!!! I started society or irregular Witches and I'm loving it! I've also got Slewfoot. The cover and the art 😳❤️❤️❤️ I don't know why it gives me Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks vibes 😂
Love Slewfoot. Brom is a fantastic horror fantasy writer 🖤
One of my autobuy authors is Christina Henry. And a few years ago she came out with a book called The Ghost Tree and it is the only one of hers that I own that I haven't read yet. So I hope I get to that one. I have this four by four tbr that is menat to get me to read books that I just haven't gotten to for no good reason, and after I read The Jasmine Throne, I have another four lined up. The Ghost Tree is in this, as is Horrid, the Library of the Unwritten, and House of Salt and Sorrows.
I have SO MANY spooky books I save for October and Ben get upset when I can’t read anywhere near the 50+ books I have saved for then lol. I love this month for spooky book reading!! Some of these are definitely on my TBR too like Belladonna, These Fleeting Shadows and House of Hunger. I also plan to read Frankenstein and get intimidated each year! 👻
Cackle is my new favorite ❤️
Omg Lexi!! Read Frankenstein!!! I just read it and it was so good and the writing so beautiful. I think you’ll really enjoy it 👻 🤍 🧸
Did I keep this so I would have a video of yours to watch at all times? Yes but also its always a perfect time for a spooky book 😅 👻
I’m really enjoying Belladonna. Thank you for the recommendation. I have a few more that I’m getting because of your recommendations. Have a great weekend reading!! Love your videos ❤️
Thank you soo much for your recommendations love😻😻🧡🍁🦇
I read Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches last month and loved it and I just finished The Girl in White and it was pretty good. All these books sound amazing Nettle and Bone is on my list. And as always love your videos 🎃
I can’t wait to read Thistlefoot. The house reminds me of Howl’s Moving Castle with the way the house can move on the chicken legs 👻
Yes!!! I also got Sophie Anderson vibes from it I’m so excited to read it!!
There are so many books on my TBR for fall, I know I'm not going to get to them all and it makes me very sad lol. However I do really want to read The Picture of Dorian Gray, as well as Hotel Magnifique. Also I need to start my annual reread of The Night Circus 🍁🎃🍂👻
I’m also trying to read Frankenstein this month!
Ravenfall sounds like it's got a similar vibe to The Inn Between by Marina Cohen. Highly recommend 📖👍
U make me wanna read all day every day, all my life
so many good suggestions 🎃 I love the Aveline Jones series by Phil hicks , also Danny Weston witch stone is so good and based on the legend of meg Shelton 🙀
Very secret society of irregular witches OBSESSED one of my favorites plus Hocus Pocus! 🍂👻🍁🍁🎃🍃🍂🎃🍁👻🍂📙📚📚📚🍁🍃🍂🎃👻🍁🍁👻🍂🍃🍂🎃👻🎃🍂🍁🍁📚📚🍂🍃🍂👻👻🎃🎃🍁📖📖👻👻🎃🎃📚📚📙📖📖📙🎃🍂🍂🍂
Currently reading belladonna and I am enjoying it. Its going slightly slower then I hoped but I am really enjoying it.
Love your sweater and you and your channel
I really want to read Frankenstein as well this season. Like you I have been trying to read it for so long, but for a reason or another I never have. Hopefully this will be the right time. 🎃🎃
Ravenfall is perfect for automn... and Whispering Pines is another one I'd recommend, but more scary.
Some great recs! 🧟♀️🧝♀️🧚🦹♀️🧙♀️
Dude Frankenstein is so good! And it holds to its title of a scary story. I made the mistake of reading it on a dark and stormy night (not joking). I didn’t sleep that night and jumped at every shadow.
I also recommend Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde.
I am a few chapters in the very secret society of irregular witches and I am loving it so far! 🥰🥰🧙♀
Not the witch you wed sounds so cute
Yes I agree!!
I always love your videos 👻
That impression 🖤🔮🕯!
Wow your horror selections ❤️ and yes I also have put off Frankenstein for that special day. This month might be it ☠️👻
