There are artists all over India with different styles and use different raw materials. From palm leaves, paddy seedlings, clothes....u can actually find abundant of handmade goods at really cheap prices.

If you want to explore real India then the beauty lies in its Temples, Forts, Palaces and heritage monuments. Europe has small castles but Rajasthan is World famous for its Massive Forts. You should have visited 1. Kumbhalgarh Fort (2nd longest boundary wall of 36km) 2. Jodhpur Fort 3. Aamer, Nahargarh and Jaigarh Forts 4. Jaisalmer Fort 5. Chittorgarh Fort. These outstanding Forts are in Rajasthan and are a Must Visit. You missed them all.
As you said the doors are little short in city palace. The main reason Behind building short doors and narrow passages is to defend the main building from entrance of enemies with large weapons. So in congested passages and narrow doors enemy won't be able to attack the palace with full flege. (Pretty smart strategic planning right)

the entrance or doorways were short as people were supposed to "Bow Down" while entering the temple. Even old homes had doorways of only about 4 ft tall and 3 ft wide.

In case of any enemy attack, the enemy would've to crouch in order to enter the room, thus making them vulnerable, as they couldn't use their weapons while crouching. Also, the kings at that time were usually 7-8 ft tall. Loved the vid!
The doors at forts and palaces are short because it is believed that any person passing through the doors should bow Before the king before entering. It is also for security purpose, the invader has to bow at the door and his neck can be chopped off.

5. Chittorgarh Fort.
These outstanding Forts are in Rajasthan and are a Must Visit. You missed them all.

As you said the doors are little short in city palace. The main reason Behind building short doors and narrow passages is to defend the main building from entrance of enemies with large weapons. So in congested passages and narrow doors enemy won't be able to attack the palace with full flege. (Pretty smart strategic planning right)

the entrance or doorways were short as people were supposed to "Bow Down" while entering the temple. Even old homes had doorways of only about 4 ft tall and 3 ft wide.

these doorways are short because when enemies attack they would not able to come in staright so first they have to get down that gives an adavnatge to them
Hey Harry! The doorways in the fort were made short for a reason. In case of any enemy attack, the enemy would've to crouch in order to enter the room, thus making them vulnerable, as they couldn't use their weapons while crouching. Also, the kings at that time were usually 7-8 ft tall. Loved the vid!
The doors at forts and palaces are short because it is believed that any person passing through the doors should bow Before the king before entering.
It is also for security purpose, the invader has to bow at the door and his neck can be chopped off.
There is reason behind keeping the height of the door short. That reason is to bow down the head while entering anyone's room. Its a way to show respect.

Doors are in the city palace is short bcz incase any invasion of the enemy they can't rush into the palace quickly.. so they've made it short and narrow doors
22:20 The doors are deliberately made short because in case of any attack the invading forces has to bow down to pass through the gate and the palace soldiers could easily chop off their head which stand beside the doors. The second purpose of the short door is that if any person coming in the door, should bow down their head. It is a symbol of respect towards the king.
