    I like how you carefully "packed" the relevant advice into this video. Not too much, not too little, just right. It's really "bowled" me over 😁 Puns aside, thanks very much for a very informative video 🙏

      Thanks 🙏 I was worried that all the sections added too much overall time-length to the video, so I am happy you think it was just right😊

    Thanks Mr. Vaping Piper. You do a great job of walking through these steps, and giving reasons behind what you are doing. Thank you very much. I will keep these things in mind when I light my first bowl, probably tomorrow.

      This morning, I visited a local cigar shop here in Kentucky, USA. I ended up getting 2oz of "Pina Colada" from the jar, and a tin of Peterson's Early Morning Pipe. It was a great first experience smoking the pina colada, and here I am hours later, still feeling extremely relaxed. Can't wait to try the English blend next.

      Oh that pina colada blend sounds nice. Taste of the Caribbean, enjoy it😊 the early morning is one of my English favourites. Would appreciate your feedback after you tried it.

    Thank you for this. I bought a Vauen churchwarden hobbit style pipe about 6 months ago, but I've only tried it a few times because I haven't quite mastered it yet, I kept on getting the toung bite sting! You did a really good job of explaining why that is happening. I am looking forward to trying it again, and hopefully I will get the hang of it soon🙏
    I'm also a MTL vaper, and hobbyist, and I enjoy watching your other channel. I am going to try out some of the NET e liquids because I am really inspired by watching your videos.
    Thank you😉👍👍

    Nathan, I’m a vaper who enjoys the flavor of tobaccos and as you can guess I have watched many of your videos on the NET Vaper channel. Now I don’t smoke a pipe, nor do I plan on trying it, but it’s just as enjoyable to see your passion for tobacco here and to learn from your detailed explanations that you present in a very relaxing manner. I think the most important thing I’m taking out of this video is to take your time when you smoke a pipe, not only to avoid heating it up excessively but also to let yourself explore the flavors of the blend. Thank you, and I wish you some pleasant bowls (and a good vape obviously)!

    • @TheVapingPiper
      @TheVapingPiper  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Jarto. You explained it perfectly when describing why smoking a pipe slow is preferred, so if you do one day experiment with pipe smoking at least you have the knowledge how to do it right😀 in the meantime enjoy your vape. Have a nice weekend.

      @@TheVapingPiper Exactly. Also I saw your video about getting more flavor out of pipe smoking, and you said that you managed to have your heavy cigarette smoker friend into switch to a pipe if I’m not mistaken. I feel like they’re two completely different things: the former is a mindless act (you go on a break at work, get your pack out, light one up in an instant then huff and puff quickly on it and throw it away) whereas you have to take your time for the latter, not only because you have to smoke slowly but also because it takes 30 to 60 mins to dry the tobacco out enough in the first place and you have to clean your pipe after a bowl (and care for it too). So I’m wondering if your friend has successfully transitioned to pipe smoking or gone back to cigs, and do you have any tips to convince a cig smoker?

    • @TheVapingPiper
      @TheVapingPiper  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You impress me on how you described both methods of smoking so accurately. Indeed pipe smoking is entirely different to cigarette smoking which is for nicotine supply mainly while pipe smoking is for the taste of tobacco & relaxation. The problem is for cigarette smokers who switched to pipe smoking is the nicotine delivery which is on a much lower scale with pipe smoking as you don’t inhale pipe smoke. So one needs a readjustment period until the body gets used to a lowered nicotine intake. Over time a pipe smoker gets full satisfaction from the nicotine intake through the mouth & nostrils but mainly from tasting high quality tobacco leaf which is delicious. Of course one needs some time and palate tuning to taste all the tobacco nuances but with time that will also develop and by the end of it all you would benefit from a tasty smoking session & relaxation that is second to none. For vapers it much easier transition as you can vape before you smoke the pipe so the nicotine cravings are answered by the vape so you can fully enjoy the taste of tobacco without the need to inhale the smoke. Occasionally you can inhale if you feel the need for a nicotine top up but not too often. I would say 5 time during a full bowl that should be fine. That is what I recommended to that cigarette smoker and I am happy to say it works for him brilliantly. How did he put it. I can taste proper tobacco & delicious aromatics and in a much more relaxing & healthier way than cigarette smoking.

    I must compliment you on this video Nathan it is so informative & helpful advice on pipe smoking and the way you explain it all in your relaxing manor it was enjoyable to watch espcially the smoking section in your garden. Perfect weekend watch. I read the previous comment, i too did not know about the useful usage of tobacco ash to clean off the patina and bring back the shine to a silver ring. One never ceases to learn something new. Take care. Regards Daniel.

    I have a question. You have to let the tobacco sit out before you smoke it to dry a bit. Let's say I want to smoke on a whim/didn't plan to smoke, but i want to. Is there any way that you can have tobacco ready to smoke whenever you want, or does it always have to be planned out? Or let's say I'm traveling and I don't have safe places for it to dry but want to smoke. What do people usually do?

    • @TheVapingPiper
      @TheVapingPiper  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I can tell you that the only reason one dries out tobacco is to reduce the risk for tongue bite and avoid the need to re-light often. If those 2 don’t bother you, you can smoke right out the tin. I personally like my tobacco moist rather then dry I find it more flavourful. Mind you I don’t suffer from tongue bite & I don’t mind re lighting😊 but even if you personally need to dry your tobacco for the above reasons don’t let it dry too much as you would loose all the goodness of the tobacco leaf. Leave open maximum for non aromatic 20-30min & aromatic 40-45. If you don’t have time or patience to allow drying smoke it slow especially for the first few minutes not to create too much hot steam. My advice is enjoy your tobacco any way shape or form you like😊

    Hi Nathan, I've got everything to start smoking my pipe, but for some reason I can't get my pipe cleaner through to my bowl... Is that normal?
    It seems like it has airflow, but perhaps the carbon cake is blocking the bowl? Not sure. It's a very old pipe. :)

    • @TheVapingPiper
      @TheVapingPiper  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @NicStride. If your pipe cleaner is not reaching the bowl that is definitely not good. Either something is stuck in the shank or the opening to the bowl is blocked by carbon or gunk either way you need to insert a long thin rod to push out the blockage otherwise there will be no airflow enabling you to smoke your pipe. Perhaps shining a torch down the bowl & shank can help you investigate the blockage and give it a proper clean & to remove excessive carbon cake buildup with a pipe reamer. May I recommend while you sort out your old pipe to buy a new budget briar pipe or corncub pipe that you can pick up for a few pounds and enjoy your pipe journey properly.
