I don’t necessarily think that this means commitment issues. I’ve had the square a few times with people who were either in long-term relationships or even married previously, and had no issues pursuing another long-term connection. So, when it isn’t as obvious as the classic “can’t commit” that’s possible with the square, I think this aspect can manifest as the Uranus person challenging the things the Moon person considers comfortable habits and “TLC.” They inspire the Moon, sometimes even pressure them into changing things that the Moon doesn’t want to change. I had this with someone. He actually had Saturn conjunct Uranus, and it was square my moon. He engaged in a lot of various stone walking manipulations that drove me nuts. He refused to address anything, and would redirect the conversation elsewhere, and make it so I regretted bringing anything up.
I was obsessed (and honestly kinda still am) with a man i had Mars/Saturn/Uranus/Neptune squaring their moon. I honestly couldn't get 2 words out without triggering him. I dry chased him and tried everything i could but unfortunately i just couldn't get that intimacy with him. I think it's because my stellium is in sagittarius and his moon was in pisces. I was very blunt and forward with my attraction. Not even my venus conjunct his mars helped us or my moon conjunct his venus helped.
I have this aspect in my natal chart and I had always partners who were same age. So I know it pretty well. When I realized it, I considered dating younger or older people, but then I would have conflicting aspects with their Pluto, so I rather go with Uranus square Moon. Lesson here is to love yourself and to listen to your inner truth, no matter how they respond to it. Then it‘s manageable if there are also harmonious other aspects
I have this with my daughter. I’m just happy that I’m the moon. I would hate for her to feel alienated. 😩 She also has moon in Scorpio square Pluto. I know she’ll have such a hard time with emotions.

We have moon opposite moon, and moon square Uranus going both ways. Plus it's in our individual natals. This video is spot on. The emotional distance and isolation is too much. Add to that mars conjunct Uranus. It's very hot & cold ☹
I have this with my sister and her entire generation, her Uranus, it is as if our feelings or emotions do not mix or are different at the same moment, while she may be smiling I may be sad, I do not influence her emotions and she neither in mine and I love that, because I'm normally melancholic and I would hate for it to feel like me. Our composite chart is good.
So you can think of your own Uranus too, how it squares two signs, and especially zip it on emotional critique or provocation on people with their moons in those places, knowing your Uranus acts cold and distant in those squares. Especially if your own moon is square your Uranus, you need to not become mocking of your own feelings, beating yourself down with cold suck it up and deal with it self-advice. Be nice to self, and others.
Does Uranus exacerbate the aspects that the Moon does as well, or just the sign the Moon is in? For example, if the Moon is opposing Pluto, does Uranus exacerbate that energy as well?
That can happen with outer planets. It will be a more pervasive theme where you may feel people of that generation aren’t connecting with you as you would like. You can date older or younger or solve the issues that this square presents. You may need to find people who get you in ways others don’t.
