"I like making my tbr shelf longer than my read shelf." I really felt that! 😂 I added Library Lovers series to my tbr! A mystery with books sounds so good!
Your smile is contagious ♡ I just started reading cosy mysteries last year, and they, honestly, became one of my favourite books to read. I love the Cape Bay Cafe series by Harper Lin. Also I'm currently reading the third book in the Pebble Cove Teahouse series by Eryn Scott, and I'm absolutely loving it.
Ah I love this list. Cozies have become my absolute go-to in the last 3 years (if you know what I mean) because they just give comfort with a side of murder and I love it. Your recs are always spot on! Can't wait to try the book retreat series!
I always smile when I see you have a new video out! I also love Donna Andrews and am looking forward to her new one. Another auto buy cozy author with a magical theme is Amanda Lee. She has several series I like, but the one I would start with is her Witches of the Midwest series, which begins with Any Witch Way You Can.
Hiya! Thank you so much! I’ve been enjoying reading mysteries and now some cozy mysteries. Definitely going to check out Jenn Mckinlay👏🏾Love this video! And you are such a beautiful soul, funny and authentic! Shine on! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🤩
Enjoyed the video. I am reading Ellery Adams Bakeshop Mystery series. I am up to book #9. I also read book #1 in her Sloan Krause Mystery series. I am also reading Ellery Adams Books By The Bay series as well as her Charmed Pie Shop Mystery series. I have just started the Cheese Shop Mystery series. I’m loving the first book. So many cozies, so little time 😀📚
Love you girl!!!! ❤️❤️ Have t started Meg series but I intend to. But boy do I love the MSW’s and Jess too. Thank you for taking the time to give a this great info!!
What a wonderful video and i truly enjoyed it! I am so glad I came across it. I just subscribed !!! I love cozy mysteries and was looking for new authors, you have definitely helped me out! TY
Jenn McKinlay is on my insta-buy list as well. Her library series is amazing! I adore those books. I've read all of Ellery Adams Bay series, I have not tried the Book retreat series yet. I will have to check that out now. Thanks for the recommendation. We totally have similar taste. :)
You have the most delightful laugh! I just stumbled on this video looking for more cozy mysteries and I added all of these to my Goodreads. Subscribed - can't wait to see more from you! :)
I'm bookmarking this vid for future reference! I think I've probably only read (well started!) 5 or 6 CM series and all a long time ago, and the first that I recall ever was the Page Turners by Jennie Marts back in 2014. I only got to book 3 before I ran out though so I need to pick that back up. Most of the others tend to have a paranormal slant to them I think. I really need to go through my shelves and re-tag them as I have up till now lumped all horror/mystery/psychological/suspense/thriller under one heading including cozies, because there were never very many in the past but I've been getting more the last couple of years so now is the time to change it. Thanks for the reminder! Anyway, TFS :)
You know, I need to do the same! I have cozies as their own category in goodreads, but my mysteries/thrillers/horror could do with some more fine tuning 😉
Cozies!!!!!! I love cozy mysteries! If you like bookish cozies, try the magical bookshop mystery series by Amanda flower. Definitely checking out Donna Andrews, female blacksmith? Sign me up! Lol Love Heather Blake and Kate Carlisle! Still need to read her Bibliophile series! I love the writer’s apprentice series by Julia Buckley and the enchanted garden series by Bailey Cattrell and of course, my queen, Bree Baker who write under 4 different names: Bree Baker, Julie Anne Lindsey, Jacqueline Frost, and Julie Chase! Julie Anne Lindsey also writes suspense romance!! Great video!! ❤️Nicole
I'm fairly new to cozy mysteries, but the series that got me into them was the Sherlock Holmes Bookshop Mysteries by Vicki Delaney! Not sure if you've read it but it's about a descendent of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who has a Holmes themed bookshop in New England! She gets into all sorts of shenanigans and there's a slight romance throughout. It's got five books right now and I can't wait for the next one to come out!!!!
Thanks for this. I've just come to realise that I actually like reading cozy mysteries (they have a reputation (wrongly) of books for old ladies don't you think?) so will be checking these out. I'm currently in the middle of the Magical Bakery Mystery Series by Bailey Cates and really enjoying them.
Someday I am going to need to just cuddle up on the couch and read a bunch of these for some nice relaxing brain medicine. It sounds so healthy..... wait... The Pacific Northwest series you talked about... what are the main themes on those ones? I tend to looove stories based in the PNW
Lol so the PNW one centers around a journalism grad who gets a job at an adventure mag. Lots of outdoorsy stuff which SCREAMS PNW so you might like it? It’s called Scene Of the Climb 🏔 For all your hiking/nature vibes haha
I see like the whole selves of those in Barnes in nobles always skip them cause they all looks the same but today knowing cozy mystery is actually popping I’ll give it a try
My insta buy is by Elizabeth Spann her Myrtle Clover series. I read a lot and when I take breaks I like cozy mysteries (okay I never stop reading). I am looking for another Author too binge on in between. Looking for ideas and I subscribed
Yesss! The next book I have in the series takes place in the fall and I’m dying to read it but would rather wait for the autumn ambiance lol. I’m ridiculous

I think you’d like bailey cates magical bakery mysteries -witchy and bakeries *chefs kiss*
Witchy AND bakeries?? Yup, going on the list!
I have read almost all of them and absolutely LOVE this series! Quick and fun reads. Plus i love the recipes you get on the back of the book!

I totally agree!
New subscriber! As soon as you said "Ellery Adams"!

Have you read anything by. TONYA KAPPES? She is wonderful.
shockingly, no! and I'm 99% sure I have at least 1 or 2 of her books on my kindle that I haven't gotten around to reading yet!
