After much consideration I have come to a conclusion... This car can't be touched! I test drove an XSE V6, Altima platinum and Accord sport back to back and I still love the Camry! Nothing beats the feel and drive of a naturally aspirated V6.
XSE V6 and the 4 cylinder Camry's have a delay/shift shock hesitation issue. TSB 0330-17. I had the V6 for 9 months and hated every second. Traded it in for a 2019 Accord. The Accord won't last as long but it's a whole lot better to drive. Accelerating from a stop or rolling stop, my Camry would do nothing for a second or two and then jerk harshly into gear. It did this for 12,000 miles. Toyota said "Normal operating characteristic". 4 discussions of this issue on Toyotanation.com www.toyotanation.com/threads/hesitation-when-accelerating-from-rolling-stop.1540946/

I owned this exact car for a day. The more I was in it, the more I knew it was a mistake. The reason I’d initially chosen the Camry XSE is because in general I like naturally aspirated engines. until they make this car awd.....then its game over.....same with the accord too...both cars have really stepped up their game. The only thing that can really boost sales is a awd version.
AWD gets slightly worse gas mileage since they send power to all four wheels. Most Camry owners look for that fuel economy. I've also heard this upcoming year they will offer AWD straight from the factory on their next TRD models
cant go wrong with a toyota. condition those leather seats though. not sure how often but i'd say once a month. dead skin needs moisturizer. i'd wear gloves for the steering wheel too otherwise with all the skin fluids coming off the hands it will become glossy and there goes some resale value or just your own pleasure value if you keep it a long time. rubber floor mats are a must have too. or do like the japanese do and set your outside shoes in a box and put on your clean driving shoes lol or just barefoot and with rubber floor mats for everyone else if they're not as keen on such things.
No. 19' XSE here... wish I'd gotten V6.. I thought the engine would get a little quieter after break-in.. not so. I'm going to take the 10k hit.. and get a 'FULLY LOADED' V6 or the Avalon.. the difference in refinement and smoothness is Staggering..

Love the Camry wish I had one, I do have a 2001 Camry and I love it.
im on the same page, i'll probably upgrade in 2026 lol
I like the look of the late 90s and very early 2000s toyota camry. The round design looked good.
sports version of SE rear looks awkward to me, what are the black lines around the tail light doing there?? Mazda 6 for the win
Great video! But there isn't any mention of it having All Wheel drive. That was supposed to be the big selling point for this class/ model year of the Camry. An important feature to talk about especially if you live in snowy climates like myself.
Thanks! AWD wasn't available last year when we made this video, but we did make a separate review later in the year to address it
Love the red seats. Hate the look of the steering wheel. The infotainment looks like something from 2001
The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and I love mine.
I just subscribed! Can't wait for you to do the 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE... Because that's what I want to buy in January. 😁
Thanks so much and welcome to the Car Confections 'family'! We will have a review of the new Highlander as soon as it reaches dealers in December 😀
@Randy Jackson the Camry grill is waaay worse looking! Looks like an open shark's mouth! 😫
Just got mine in Pre Dawn Mica/black, the wife couldn't take the red interior but I dug the shit out of it, oh well, its a sic lookin ride. Gotta black out those wheels thou
I’m still driving 2012 Camry and is really good car
I’m in love with this one and the Peugeot 508 gt Line . Just still can’t make up my mind
Android Auto works perfectly on my 2020 SE with my Galaxy 10+
Does the transmission still have the same hunting for gears issues?
Tundra Guy I haven’t noticed it and I rented a 2019 Camry LE
A 2018 owner told me her transmission went out after only 8000 miles
until they make this car awd.....then its game over.....same with the accord too...both cars have really stepped up their game. The only thing that can really boost sales is a awd version.
Awd might help sales but not everyone needs/wants Awd
AWD gets slightly worse gas mileage since they send power to all four wheels. Most Camry owners look for that fuel economy.
I've also heard this upcoming year they will offer AWD straight from the factory on their next TRD models
@@210RedRaider Trd is not getting AWD only the 4 cylinders.
Everyone has the white black combo.. is the red/black combo an option?
Nice job!!
I just bought one ..i love it 😀
how much?
cant go wrong with a toyota. condition those leather seats though. not sure how often but i'd say once a month. dead skin needs moisturizer. i'd wear gloves for the steering wheel too otherwise with all the skin fluids coming off the hands it will become glossy and there goes some resale value or just your own pleasure value if you keep it a long time. rubber floor mats are a must have too. or do like the japanese do and set your outside shoes in a box and put on your clean driving shoes lol or just barefoot and with rubber floor mats for everyone else if they're not as keen on such things.
Good jobs. Thanks for video 👍
Glad you enjoyed!
Hope I get mines for my birthday in December
Did you bought one?
Me too!
So...??
Im in love 😍 with this Camry
I'm in love with you 😍
I have a 2020 Camry L wasn’t able to get the sport edition which I wish I had cause of the look but should I be happy with my L?
No. 19' XSE here... wish I'd gotten V6.. I thought the engine would get a little quieter after break-in.. not so. I'm going to take the 10k hit.. and get a 'FULLY LOADED' V6 or the Avalon.. the difference in refinement and smoothness is Staggering..
Very handsone! Have you tested this one out for yourself, Drew, I can't remember if this one was part of your new car list?
I am interested in trying out the new TRD model since that brings the V-6 engine into my price range. Hopefully our dealers will have one soon!
@@CarConfections Cool, I hope you get to do a review of it while you test it out, I'd love to see it myself. I also can't wait to see how ppl take to the new 2020 Highlander, looks sharp imo.
Why that car sounds so loud without a Turbo and without a sport tuned exhaust? Makes no sense.
Whats the difference between 2019 and 2020?
Richard Jackson 2020 gets android auto standard and optional on xle or XSE ventilated front seats
It is quite handsome, Even the interior is quite pretty. If anything at all my Final option would be this Lovely vehicle.
A fully loaded sxe i4 is 37.666$ or more that’s way too much. IMO
37K for a 4cyl? On their site it shows 34K as the highest price for a XSE i4. 37K is for a v6 model w a couple options and fully loaded v6 40K MSRP
I like the features of the XLE and LE, but the grill of the SE. I read that it is noisy. I'm debating on this and the Accord. Also thinking maybe hybrid. Help! I want red or wind chill pearl and macadamia inside.
I count this thing as a luxury sports sedan
Just got myself one 🔥
Anyone still drive and love the 2001 camery like me?
