Art - If you are serious about taking on the slam (Don't Do it in a Single Season, Like I did lol ) I can put you in touch with my main Waterfowl consultant Matt Gindorff. Would you like me to get you in touch with him?
I'd love to but im gunna have to wait tell next year to even start. I had a year we joke about I drew almost every tag I put in for an my hunting budget is stretched lol. 1 bull 1 cow 1 mule deer buck 2 whitetail does and 1 antelope waiting on montana antelope as well as my swan tag. Its a good thing I have a understanding wife. But ill definitely reach out to wta to start !!! Yall are the real deal!!
Bill Sager has been living and guiding in Cold Bay for decades. Al is retired. Charlie Summerville of Cold Bay Adventure’s and Aleutian Island Waterfowlers is another. And both Jeff and Moe got their start working for Charlie. And you might be able to talk Buck (long time Seldovia waterfowl guide) into taking you out during his month plus time there each fall. So yeah, Wasley is there, but one of the newer outfits there. Like your videos, well done!
Right, I only included one Swan species on my 43 list because most of the states that you can draw a permit, allow you to shoot one of either of those species. Thanks for the comment though.
We hunt them in Virginia. They taste like veal. Delicious. Thats a lot of swan in the video. We usually have flocks of 6 to 8 or so. Easy to decoy, especially early in the season. In Va. we put in for a lottery and if lucky, get a one bird permit. Whooooo Whoooooo!
Tundra swan has got to be on every waterfowl hunters bucket list.
Yes i want one to mount
Give WTA Tags a call: 1-800-755-8247 and see if they can get you set up to draw a Tundra Swan tag so we can make that happen for you.
Awsome shooting and adventure! Ya got me pumped up for September goose and teal season here in michigan!
That is the main goal. Glad you liked it.
Awesome hunt Mark. That Tundra swan is huge.
It’s the biggest species in the waterfowl slam for sure.
That’s Amazing! I’m loving the videos every week!
Glad to hear it! Stay tuned for more!
Fantastic!!
Love this video mark!!! Its helpful as all get out. I drew a montana pacific flyaway swan tag this year. Hopeful to start my slam. 😁😁

@@artclute6741 That is what we like to hear. Do you have places to go with all those tags?

Awesome
Great video and content.
Glad you enjoyed it.
The merganser's was 2 common hens right ? Usually the drake common has a green head.
Jeff isn’t the only outfitter in Cold Bay FYI
Can you share with me some of the others you'd recommend?
Aleutian island waterfowlers/cold bay Adventure lodge.

Ok that's a tundra swan, but where's the trumpeter swan? Legal to take in some states in addition to tundras

New friend watching from Philippines.
Thanks for Tuning in. Be sure and subscribe if you haven't already.
the ruddy duck is very good eating too.
It sure is. I like it dredged in flour and milk!
So what does one do with a Tundra Swan once he shoots it?
Obviously you can eat it, I however am getting it mounted so I froze it for the taxidermist.
How did the swan taste?
I can't say, the one I was able to shoot I kept fully intact so I can get it mounted. I would be curious to know as well.

Hen ruddy bruh
v nice
Thank you.
You didn't actually mean to shoot those mergansers and ruddy ducks did you?
tundra swan was my first waterfowl kill. they are beautiful and tasty
That’s cool some waterfowlers will go their whole life without shooting one.
@@MarkVPeterson what blind bag are you using in these videos?

Very weird to see anybody get so excited to kill an animal. It's not like you'd starve to death in modern society.
Especially a Swan. Mean I am all for hunting but I would never kill one of those unless it was an extreme emergency.
