No wonder Shakespeare is considered the greatest writer of all time. It's amazing how he captures so well the frailties of a woman in love, the vacilation, the emotional turmoils, the simultaneous hatred, love, longing and despair.

Yes Shakespeare was fantastic, but he wouldn't have been half the writer he was if he hadn't pillaged history for stories. Scene 2.2 is word for word plagarized from Plutarch's account of Antony. Plutarch's Life of Antony served as a template for the entire play. Timline...Characterization... Plot was already written.
