The greatest compliment I can pay this video is that after admiring it for 10 minutes I immediately decided to watch my 4K Blu-ray of Blade Runner again.

I disagree. It’s both. The lighting and Deckard’s apartment feels oddly cold yet comforting. The balcony with neon and rain. A sense of peace amongst the chaos. I’ve always felt that.
Ever since seeing this movie back in the 80's as a kid, its been my favorite movie. Thankfully I have all three versions on DVD. When researching Blade Runner, I found that it is used in film schools to show students how to make a good film. Thank you.
Thanks for this. As soon as I heard this, I went to my Bladerunner movie soundtrack album. 'Do you like our Owl'? Everything about this film; the screenplay, ambience, storyline, special effects, the characters all living with their own issues one way or another, makes this one of my favourite films of all time. A masterpiece of cinematic folklore.❤❤❤
It's amazing to have lived in a time with such greatness to behold. Im always reminded that everything is temporary and we should treasure every moment. My wife. My dog. My health. My sanity. It's too bad she wont live...but then again, who does. Take care my fellow runners. Take care, chums.
Very rare I see a comment from a fully sentient fellow brethren human. At not one point in that beautiful comment do you compliment yourself in any way, there used to be more like you. My respects, you summed it up from the heart. It's too bad she wont live...but then again, who does.....who DOES live in a virtual world. That comment resonates because it has so many powerful meanings.

Loved it when it came out and love it even more today. We all struggle with our purpose in this place and the emotions we experience moving through our daily existence.
When Bladerunner was first released, I had the good fortune to watch it in the theater when it was raining outside. Thank you to all that made BR, and thanks for this video and the animation. 🙏 (it kinds looks like there's a ceiling over the city instead of open sky though...maybe I need to see this on my bigger monitor)
I had a chance to see this movie at a theater as a late show a few years later since it was released in JPN with out of luck. I felt delighted finding the local movie theater showing it. It was at a dark back street of Iidabashi station in central Tokyo. Perfect backdrop of 21st story. The theather went away soon then; a momory of 'cult classic movie.'
In Argentina, in 1982, I read the review in the newspapers and aroused my curiosity. I went to see it at the cinema in an almost empty theater and was shocked. I advertised it among my co-workers, but they listened to me with bovine indifference. It was the end of the month and I had almost no money left, but I went to see it again, before it was taken off the screen. The aesthetic shock continued and continues today, forty years later. Walking through downtown on a rainy day only brings Blade Runner to mind.

This is fuckin' amazing! I saw the director's cut a few days ago and I liked it, even for one detail... and it's for the bluish photography present in this version but the only thing that shocked me was the ending with Rachel and Deckard entering in the elevator and suddenly the film ends... At the beginning I didn't appreciate it that much and even when I watched the final cut for a second time I didn't appreciate it but it's with this version that I managed to truly love Blade Runner.😍
Actually, if I had a chance to get a new house, I would hire an interior designer and decorate my room like Deckard's. This entire movie in all its aspects is the purest expression of art, on so many levels that it's hard to find anything comparable. The music, the ambient, cityscapes, actors playing beautifully and with such engagement, the story, that is very simple yet incredibly compelling and haunting, concerning each and every one of us, our loneliness, our dreams, our good and bad sides, our deeds and hopes ...and the final conclusion identical for everyone....
This was lifted straight from the Blade Runner 9732 VR game for Oculus, right? If you have a VR set it's so much better watching and listening to this in VR. It's more a demo than a game, but you can wander around Deckard's apartment and stand out on the balcony to watch this.

the new blade runner movie is good but not quite as the first one. There is a kind of magic in the first one i dont know how to explain it.
