I have listened to every episode of The Champs twice. Shoutout to Neal and Moshe for putting me on to comedy through the eyes of a black man. I love comedy more than anything because of those guys. The good comedians are pure. Neal and Moshe are as pure as it gets

The ayahuasca commercialization is a little interesting to me. A little unsettling too. I’ve studied and watched it’s ascension over the years and while I have nothing against a medicine that people have stood behind as revitalizing, it’s just interesting how it’s creeping in and who it’s presented to.
As long as it's not harming anyone ah well...but I agree its unsettling to see all kinds of cats promoting it.

I think the purity will be compromised and force it to be synthesized, and led by fake shamans, etc (which I know the fake shamans is already a thing). The desire to “feel connected” is ugly sometimes.
Yeah I've done lsd and shrooms(for fun mostly) but Aya is whole nother trip. I'd only do it if I desperately needed a revelation, like if it was my last option. Some kids should know that you shouldn't be taking Aya just for funsies or cause you wanna try something. According to my friend who has done it, "It's like you're dead, time and space doesn't exist, it's kinda terrifying. But in the end I realized that I wanted to live and be healthier".
@@richardli6775 It depends on the person and their life experience. The Ayahuasca plant works with what you have. I’m a person that will “only” have a ceremony in the Peruvian jungle with curandeiros(shamans) whom have been working with the medicine for decades. I’ve had the plant outside of the Peruvian jungle and it’s a different thing. People think they can DMT and it’s not the same. Simply not. The way concepts work in people’s minds, is that if you take this plant in the jungle, then what’s the difference between taking it in some basement in NYC. It’s drastically different. Just know that. There is tradition, there are rituals, there needs to be someone managing the ceremony, whom cares for people’s spirits.

I've been watching and listening to Neal since his half-hour special on Comedy Central and thought that he was great. Today, I think that he's probably the most underrated stand-up comedian today if we just judge it by his level of fame and the venues that he's doing.

I've felt like Neal for a lot of my life. And my only solution is to keep myself productive. Working out, studying, working. But man that anxious feeling is always there. I've also tried the spiritual route but it didn't work out for me

There are actually a ton of people like him who are every successful. Maybe not in Hollywood but in many other areas that people don't think about everyday.
Neal always has a great show because of his ability to be self aware. Maybe that comes with depression. but he always has a great interview.
Self awareness and transparency IS a bi product of depression..A person who has battled with insecurity for many years typically would rather to show their flaws versus being put on blast and having to retreat to their dark hole.
