I personally loved the album and it’s been on REPEAT! The details on the vocal and instrumental production are crazy good. The Normani hate train is disgusting…
It really is a solid body of work! They don't give that smoke for others but when it comes to her they expect the world. The king of reads made a great video about her critique especially coming from queer black men. I think Normani is a pop girlie she shines there but her target audience is black folks and her label be doing too much I hear.
Ikr,The album is that girl🔥. It has awesome replay value, timeless and doing well. Most of them are out here building whole platforms based on spewing hate at her and jealous of everything she does. Chiiii😳🙄
Idk why you guys are making things up. Normani has been getting love and hype for 6+ years ...is the "hate train" in the room with us??? Not everyone is gonna like the album and that goes for any album. I personally loved big boy, candy paint and the Gunna feature
I’ll say this. You can listen to virtually any body of work from any point in history and run down what “should have, would have, and could have” been done better or differently. However, I feel like there’s a particular sense of entitlement that is coming with the intense over criticism of this album. I can’t put my finger on it.
exactly this it seems like everyone feels owed something by her when in reality waiting for any project especially for a number of years isn’t gonna translate and naturally some people are going to be dissatisfied with the finished product no matter how good it may be
@@MessyGirlzTV I respect that. It’s just a little much coming from everyone. By the way, I wasn’t necessarily referring to you in my comment. Just speaking as a whole.
I liked the album but I get your criticisms. Especially on the boring lyrical content of this album. It has good momemnts but overall the writing is one note. Besides Insomnia I wished the songs were longer.
I agree with you on almost everything you said. The album sounds incomplete to me, it's more like a first attempt to make an album without having enough good songs and using only demos. I get that, when I started to work on my first album, I did the same on a papernote but after a while I wrote better songs and took the time (3 years) to make a solid tracklist and a cohesive vision to be proud about. I don't know Normani personaly but, from what I see she doesn't look like a passionate/professional artist. I feel like she's doing it not because that's her passion but because she had the luck to be in Fifth Harmonies which gave her some spots to do something different from a regular job. She's beautiful, she can dance but not as good as other dancers, she can sing but not as great as other singers, she wants to make music but she's not perfectionist about it. 6 years and she didn't find the time to find all the good songs and perfect them to introduce herself with a first album to be proud about as a really passionate and serious artist. I had some expectations from her, not that much but I was curious to see what she could do and now I know. To me there's no excuses to release such an unfinished project while having such a big exposure but in the end it shows what has to be seen.
i agree. she needs to work with better producers next time. it sounds kinda underproduced and hollow. insomnia is definitely the stand out highlight for me and the song with james blake

Exactly. The album is DOPE. If it wasn’t there wouldn’t be so many haters doing the most.

@@BkGoodBoyBad it’s because people have waited for so long because she’s been teasing it for years only to be disappointed by what we were given

@@AdrianAire Precisely. I don’t understand, did people expect Renaissance? I’m just saying 🤷🏾♂️

Clock that tea that album was garbage waited 6 years for nothing but mid music
Channel name checks out.
The entire intro sent me into orbit😂😂😂
Ngl….. I didn’t finish the album. I zoned out on some songs and lost track of what I was missing to😂😂😂 I still have yet to finish
every song is mid at best. It feels like you're waiting for it to KICK in and it just never does. Just unsatisfying af
Lyrics are part of the music baby. Lyrics matter a lot for a song lol but I love your honesty! The album was lackluster
I wouldn't call her trash just a snoozefest.
Bodyguard's instrumental is alr better than this album nss
finish rainbow high mess
I will soon, I have a episode getting ready to drop stay tuned
😂😂😂 she needs to stick to pop! The songs were boring and redundant.
Baby that album is trash lmao
