This situation could have been avoided with a simple phone call to the Police, “I have someone with an accusation, please come and investigate to find the truth.”
This episode was one of the most interesting and informative episodes for me.
My friends, please take the time to watch.
Please share the link with your closest friends.
    People need closure.

He wasn’t getting upset about the wrong title. He was telling the congregation that the entire story of abuse was wrong. If you listen to the entire recording (made in secret after kingsbury dismissed all visitors, children, and non-members), you will get a MUCH better context for how manipulative this pastor is. I believe if you search the Do Right North Love page on Facebook, the entire recording can be found on August 10. I grew up in that church.
I am very glad that the lawyer corrected the youth pastor title mistake. That error has been used as a starting point for people to think “if they got that part of the story wrong, they got the rest wrong too.”

If there's one place a person ought to be able to feel safe, it's at church. I had no idea just how bad sexual abuse was until recently. Breaks my heart and also angers me

My husband belonged to a small Southern Baptist church. I was dating him and because his father was a deacon, we knew what was going on. The Pastor and his family were horrible nasty people. All of their children were addicts of some kind , the pastor's wife liked her 'Jesus Juice' which is wine and she was a petty woman. She tried many a time to ruin a family's social standing. If we were not in their inner circle in all appearances they looked very wholesome and lovely people. The rest of the church members had no idea just how toxic they really were. They kept it well hidden

This breaks my heart. 😢 I am so grateful for you all, bringing this darkness to light. Please, let us keep praying for these perpetrators to be brought to justice~ and especially for the victims. Sexual abuse stays with you _forever._ 😢

No shepherd that truly cares for his flock would say that it's all clean under the rug. If he was concerned about uncovering the truth, he would have done that a long time ago when he was notified.
This is so sad. I pray that the church will recover and God will help them heal and develop a culture that glorifies Him and keeps people safe.
    Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for your continuing work. We were IBLP/ATIA parents for four years (regrettably) and later followers of Mike Bickle IHOP KC (who is now embroiled in scandal). So much of this. I'm not giving up my faith but I no longer trust institutions or celebrity preachers. Keep bringing truth.

I went to RU in Hammond in 2018, I’m kind of relieved to not have stayed in the area. It can look like a safe zone especially when your trying to get off drugs but once you see it for what it really is, it’s quite alarming.

I just don’t understand how these “pastors” never face consequences- ever. It’s so frustrating that this all came forward, so Kingsbury resigned, laid low for a year or two, And is now along with Hyles, “ministering” to other garbage pastors 😡😡

Wow! This North Love Church is practically in my neighborhood! That is just sickening how many victims there have been. I worked with the general public a long time and always thought that there was an unusually high number of sick perverted people here in Northern Illinois, and this just confirms it. I'm so glad for these lawyers who are not afraid of intimidation and are willing to take on these cases.

I came from a church that covered things up. Pretty sure. The Pastor had a lot of baggage from Michigan that we didn’t know about. Because it took a while for things to come to light and when things did come to light, it was a very horrible thing. I remember one who in the beginning tried to bring it to light, and she was driven out of the church. She was made by the pastor and others to be crazy. There is so much more I could say. He thought moving here would bury problems, but what he did was hurt more people. One word: PREDATOR
So many people were hurt. King’s Way Baptist Church, Douglasvile, GA P.S.Please cover this story. Wininger,Sr.write a book “A Church Falsely Accused” and it’s still on Amazon😔

I know a preacher who recently moved from Rockford who was one of the ones who ran RU. He was a youth pastor in the late 80's and early 90's and had two incidents that were never reported to proper authorities. They were reported to my mother who kept quiet. She did what she thought she was supposed to do in those days of the IFC. I have told my friend that if he did this to her and he was nor caught that he has done it since. The IFC is such a tight community, I know she would never even dream about putting all of those relationships at risk by bringing his indiscretions to light. I do hope that he is sweating bullets right now, though.

Did he, by chance, move to Montana? Sad to say, but I actually have TWO people in mind. The one was youth pastor at NL a year I attended school there. He apparently had a proclivity for country music, which he termed the 'gateway to rock n roll' during one particularly ridiculous chapel session. The other taught primary church at my church growing up before working at NL RU. He often gave me candy. Oh, & then I remember the THIRD, Bob Steiner. God help us all, but at least he's deceased. He's the one I witnessed locking a little girl in a closet & holding it shut. He liked playing Simon Says as part of grooming, I believe. But he was never a preacher, just went straight for the kids. Same network of guys...some millstone awards to be earned somewhere in there, for sure.

It's frightening how many stories are coming out.

    • @maidenmarian1
      @maidenmarian1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes It is frightening. As a Catholic, I never dreamed this was going on in the other churches!! I NEVER dreamed it would be coming out. This shows that the priestly celibacy issue is not the CASE. Lots of these predators are MARRIED. They are not alone with hours to long for a partner or sex with a partner. These people are in full time jobs and often have wives and children. How can these predators be so insatiable?
They come into ministry in a co.pletely perverted state if mind I guess. Is this what we are finding? Or are we finding this out yet?
They are so secretive as a rule. Its another men's club like the priests.
I guess it holds true, that married sex us just not enough?
I guess a multiple number of these men are plainly pedophiles.
Pedophikes. Is this more common than the world thought???
      Is this the truth?
      Its a prevalent issue?
But yes most victims have been teenagers in this story, yes?
      I need to review these.
      So sad.
I REALLY want to know Truly how prevalent these varied attractions are!!!
      What is driving this?
I just think it has NOT been adequately studied!!
THIS has to Be the case.
Is this just an insidious demonic cancer?
      What is it?
I'm 63 years old and I want to know what the fuck is going on with me sexuality.
I wonder where I could find accurate statistics.
Men are definitely going to notice the beauty of little girls from a certain age. But we need more information.
What causes them to ignore the law? And to engage. In acting out with a child or a teenager... is ut toward more females or males here?
There IS ACulture of abuse that is built in ALL churches.
      Sexual impropriety.
      RU....
      There is no punishment.
OK. Chronic condition that never goes away. Never.......
      It is not healed........ EVER.
      There is no cure...
      Sociopathy....

How do you feel or do you know about other IFB churches holding RU meetings?
My husband and I grew up IFB still believe in IFB. And I’m hesitant going to churches that have RU meetings and thus support RU especially having been a victim myself in the past. But I’ve noticed a lot of IFB churches have meetings and do support RU.

If he was a deacon in the church, why are you slurring and involving RU. Also wamt to say we are all human and have a sinful nawe are born with because of the sin of Adam and Eve. Nobody is perfect. We must forgive and give it to God so that we can move from victim to victorious. I know that it takes doing it God's way because I too was a victim by a fallen Christian that was a deacon also in a Baptist Church. After years of torturing myself over what happened and the duration (10 years) of it. The drug use and abuse from trying to bury the hurt and numb it. I found Reformers Unanimous and through that book work and the GOD of the Holy Bible that the book work allows you to engage and build that relationship with Jesus Christ after salvation I was able to forgive this man and realized it was sin amd the devil that had influenced him to do those things. For he also was in bondage to sin. Now I am
Free from those chains. God is using me in the ministry of RU. The church is not at fault but sin and the choice of man.
