Bike parks are perfect for growing skills because you get so much experience and time on the bike vs normal trail riding. Quick tip, you can get discounted tickets when you buy them ahead of time on their website. :)

Awesome! It was a great time. Hope to make it back again soon and ride more of the jumps and check out the black trails. I had to shake off the rust from only riding XC trails.. haha I miss Tennessee trails but it was fun riding here. I heard crystal mountain has a bike park too.. going to have to try that as well.

No Mackinaw Island footage?! My wife loves riding M-185. It's her Mackinaw Island experience.
The Insta360 footage is hypnotizing! Interesting that there's such a difference. What you said about the wind reduction setting is fair but in this case it adds a surreal effect to the hypnotizing image. Thanks for sharing a bit of your video editing process.

Haha yea, I left the mackinaw island footage out. Wasn’t sure this was the audience for that. Used to travel there every year in July before I moved to Tennessee. Now that my wife and I moved back to Michigan, we may do that trip more often.
It is bizarre how much different the footage is. I almost just keep the Insta360 shots for Instagram for short 1min clips. The perspective it creates is really cool though.

@@MTBTrailRider Yeah, maybe not the right audience. Also, the island is pretty busy as it is, it's okay to keep quiet about some places. :-)
I too am a Michigander who moved to TN (Nashville) then back again. So I've found that part of your videos interesting as well.

It was a lot of fun. Got to ride there twice this year. Unfortunately, riding season is coming to close here in michigan. Might get a few more rides in. Going to reassess the youtube channel for next year. Got a few more videos i need to edit and upload but might adapt the channel more into an adventure sports channel. My son has an electric dirt bike he's been getting into. Been doing a lot of skimboarding out on the lake and wake surfing. Slacklining. Snowboarding. Golfing (not so much adventure sport though). And recently bought a pop-up camper to help the family travel more... There's just a lot more content I could create if I step outside just the mountain biking scene.

You need to come back to Chatt to try out the new Durham trails. Really cool stuff they did there.

Thats what I heard! I’m hoping to make it down later this summer/early fall. Want to try and time the trip for when Walden’s ridge opens up

Looks like a good time. Never been to a bike park, yet..................

Yet is the key word. :) not sure your skill or comfort level, but many bike parks still have green trails. They are typically more like a traditional blue trail at public trail system. But it’s a great way to get the miles in and add experience.
