Estonia does not only have great Internet, they also know how to use it. It was the first country in the world where you could vote VOTE online in local and nationwide elections. It started in 2005, and in 2015 one out of 5 voters did it via Internet!
I love how you two bring so much enjoyment into your life...gives good energy to the world!! I have heard really good things about that part of the world. I saw a guy the other day with a t-shirt from there. And...you're editing is not wasted...I love these so much and really look forward to them. You always inspire me to travel and I love being a "watcher" into your travels. It's good to see young people being open to the world and appreciating how other parts of the world live.
Really loving the food bits! I love all of it but especially when you eat and react to the food and describe the experience. Thank you for doing what you do, the editing is certainly not in vain!
My boyfriend made a Hiccup cosplay from How to Train Your Dragon 2 completely out of armor grade leather! He made the patterns himself and just figured it all out at home. He even made a mini forge to makes buckle. Leather working is very difficult, good job you guys :)
WΔY ΔWΔY WΔY ΔWΔY pictures are on his cosplay page, yegendran_cosplay on Instagram, and on his FB page Yegendran Cosplay. :) You have to scroll down a bit haha it was a few years ago. He even has progress pictures of it
Hey! from a local here. The food you tried in that restaurant we do not eat on a daily basis. That is like "old school" food. And I absolutely hate saurkraut, blood sausage. And I never tried kama! :) Lived in Estonia my entire life. You would have been so much better, if you just went to any local looking restaurant, which doesn't say that it is a specific "kitchen" restaurant, and ordered anything there. That is what locals eat. Mainly potatoes, salat, sour cream + some type of meat.
Area you were in in first part is called "Telliskivi Loomelinnak", basically it's an old industrial area turned into relaxing/cultural/business area with different shops, small businesses and many food places. And hey, eating is only job which feeds you, literally, so no worries :) There are so many places to visit in Tallinn that even I, who's lived here pretty much all of my life, don't know all of them. New places appear, some old ones disappear and so on. In any case, glad you had fun, welcome back any day. As for "kama", I hate it, since childhood. Some like it. Black bread may be a totally new thing to many as in many countries they don't make it, but it's really good. It's especially good when it comes fresh out of oven and is still hot, smell and taste is heavenly then. One thing to be careful of is Estonian mustard, made in Estonia. It's very good with any kind of meat food but if you've never tried it before, then careful! Only a tiny drop first time, otherwise it'll blow your head off. Almost literally. I am pretty sure that any mustard you've ever tried will feel like some smooth juice compared to that one.
You guys missed an amazing opportunity. In that leather workshop you could have made an Italian style leather bag and created your own W.y Aw.y brand. It's still not too late. For some reason I thought it was Josh that edited the vids? In any case, great job Ashley.
12:05 - where do you see potatoes? u either got screwd or someone forgot to add them because we never eat that stuff without potatoes! the drinks were probably really good though(especially the honey beer), although Kama is made of kephir not yoghourt. really weird lunch suggestion also at 5:00 if there is only bread thumbs up for inside information =)
Sorry for commenting so late, catching up with your videos as I was traveling for 2 weeks in Germany and Prague :D, Just wanted to say that it's nice to see Josh's style transformation :P :D
I love kama, there are many different ways of making it. Traditionally it's actually made with sour milk not yogurt. I like to add sugar to the mix, tastes way better than without.
I live in Estonia and Finland. Great videos. Never knew Estonia could be so exciting😊 By the way the male host reminds me of Aaron Bruno. Safe and exciting further travels to both of you!
07:00 the "nabourhood" you were walking in is called "Pelgulinna" or for short "Pelgu" and yeah you just walked passed my best mate's house (i liderally mean he's family owns those appartment buildings they also run Pelgulinna public activities).
Ahhh I love Estonia, I actually went to the restaurant that you guys went to for dinner! They served us this weird bread pudding with berries blended into it and it was very strange... and did you guys find that there was a trend throughout the Baltics of dill? It was in absolutely everything! Great Vlog, and also loved when you were with Stephen and Jess in Canada. :)
I definitely don't disregard the very hard work and long hours you put into editing! :) About the graffiti...I think, thanks to you guys, I have come to appreciate it more, that it isn't necessarily an act of vandalism. Some of it really looks cool, such as in here @4:40
But we really, really, really, enjoy your editing/videos...I wake up to New videos everyday from you guys. I even been thinking of cancelling my cable cuz this is more entertaining... Maybe even be a patron 😊 anyways, those elderly people in the background in that restaurant look as if they're wondering what the heck Ur doing? LOL
+Cindy Duran haha. Glad you enjoy and appreciate. We really do enjoy making the videos it's just a lot of work. Yeah they probably thought we were weirdos with our camera.
Yeah, we don't really have 'authentic' Estonian food in the literal sense. Everything we have is pretty much either of Russian or (Baltic) German origin :D
estonia never been east europe , always north , thats way estonia look scandinavian with his medival houses and modern . beacuse of soviet occupation some people think that every country occupied by soviets is eastern but actually central and north europe was also

WΔY ΔWΔY - The Way Away, travel and lifestyle The natives there can use their ID cards for transportation or do they also have to get that Tallinn Card to use the transportation system?

Tallinn is one of my most favorite places to visit in the world. And you are right, the food in Estonia is amazing.

that pizza looks amazing O.O
The meal Josh had looked very German haha.
+Jodi's Expat Life funnily enough, Estonia was under German rule for a long time. I'm sure that influenced their food to an extent.
WΔY ΔWΔY Ohhh good to know!! Haha
Yeah, we don't really have 'authentic' Estonian food in the literal sense. Everything we have is pretty much either of Russian or (Baltic) German origin :D
@@WAYAWAYWithAsh i would say more russian. This food all typical around big sankt P. And polish.
Another fine episode (though the editing was marginal..) Hahahahahahaha! (I crack myself up!) Good job, Ashley (and Josh)!

My friend lives right next to the pizza shop and the pizza really is goddamn delicious
Kalamaja, the old-new part of the city that's hipi haven ;D
NIce one again! Eastern European Countrys are so under-represented. Tallin looks really cool, I probably should go visit … :)
Achim Schreiner i think it's more north Europe mentally wise then east europe^^
estonia never been east europe , always north , thats way estonia look scandinavian with his medival houses and modern . beacuse of soviet occupation some people think that every country occupied by soviets is eastern but actually central and north europe was also
+Achim Schreiner I would totally recommend it! We felt we could have spent several weeks there.
Achim Schreiner its actually in northern europe. Google it. :D but anyways you are welcome here
10:18 what's that ?
Never seen that thing, meaning defenetly not part of the traditional Estonian food.
Sauerkraut actually looks like not well made.
I see from Bangladesh
That must have been an old German tram or at least the spare part, because "Türöffner" means door opener in German. Interesting...

As you are traveling do you find it hard to locate vegan options??? Just asking for my benefit

Yeah we were also told that all public transport is free for those who live in the city but tourists are expected to pay. -Ash
WΔY ΔWΔY ah good to know^^. They should do the same in my city ;(.
WΔY ΔWΔY - The Way Away, travel and lifestyle The natives there can use their ID cards for transportation or do they also have to get that Tallinn Card to use the transportation system?
