Lol I felt your excitement when you got off the train and saw Hampton Court! I’m a big history buff and an even bigger lover of Tudor history! Visiting Hampton Court is definitely on my bucket list.
Hi Ashley, Just discovered your channel and have been enjoying seeing you guys having a fab time on your UK travels, love your enthusiasm. Thank you also for opening my eye's about Hampton Court Palace, I live 4 miles from it but have always passed it but never gone in, that will soon change thanks to your awesome video..
I'm watching this in 2017! :) I am passionately fascinated by Henry VIII! So glad I found your channel! I will binge watch all your London blogs in preparation for my first trip next year. I'm so excited!!
Ashley, thank you so much for posting your visit at Hampton Court Palace! In August 2017, we will be only a day in England (passing through before going to Cyprus) and this place was recommended by my sister who lives a short distance away. Now we are sold and will make this our trip! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I will subscribe and watch your other videos. Also, good choice to see Les Miz! I saw it there in the same place! Much better to see it in London!.
Nicely done! This covers several things we didn't have time to see on our self-guided tour at nearly the same date. I believe the architectural styles are Tudor (Henry VIII) and Baroque (William III). Thank you so much!
+Herb Lindberg Try on you tube a search for LUCY WORSEY a fantastic historical documentary film maker with a style all of her own ! Who.s "day" job is chief curator of historic royal palaces with her office at Hampton Court , She,s a very British thing as like the famous Marmite you love her or hate her !! If like history you will love her as many do
+Ashley Lancaster Thank you so much uploading your "holiday" sorry vacation vlog well done kept me hooked to the very end and wanting more , You guys had a swell time and fitted so much in that i spent two nights on you tube viewing them , Well done for a first vlog 10 out of 10 to you both held my attention in the same way as Lucy herself can !! Hope you make it back over and Kurt can "step" up and vlog with the same passion and laid back style as you can ! Only joking i think he was more than happy in a supporting role , Yes love history and the uk is blessed but alas as a northern "chap" don.t get down to the "smoke" as we say to often hence dip in to you tube from time to time , But still plenty outside of London to see and do , One my main passions is the Isle of Man a mini uk if you like for the racing but after many years the place itself , And like your two gentlemen in bath had over the years "bumped" into folks who for some reason seems just meant to do so and leave a lasting and der i say uplifting impression on one , Sorry for the ramble you may enjoy on you tube VUNDES VUN VAN A MAN even if not into the bike part hop give you a small taste the island , A hidden gem of a place ? best wishers to you and your family and once again thank you for the vlog
Strange to think, but...these castles were ridden with rats, decay & filth. It was inherent to any domain that held that many people, at that time. And usually most were drunk, as water that was potable & considered safe to drink was scarce. Wine was it, among some other forms of alcohol. Those who worked the kitchens worked under horribly hot conditions. Yes, they certainly were the place to be; but not without their issues. 😎
Thanks for sharing this viideo, I really am looking forward to seeing Hampton Court Palace this year when I visit London. I am watching all your videos regarding London as I am going the end of August into September. Did you have to buy your Hampton Court ticket in advance or can you buy your ticket when you get there? Thanks for the help and advice.
+ann solazzo You don't have to, but I bought almost everything in advance and it saved so much time! Highly recommend doing that if you know what your schedule will be.
Thank you for your advice and prompt response! I agree it does save so much time when you book ahead and buy everything. I have done so for everything except Hampton Court Palace. I bought a ticket to see Wicked, a ticket for the Royal Day out to see Buckingham Palace, the Royal Mews and the Queen's gallery. I have my ticket to Kensington Palace ( so excited to see Princess Diana's clothes this year on display). I am a bit older than you so I remember when she got married! I just need to figure how about Hampton Court Palace but not going until the end of August. Still time is passing. Again thank you for all your great videos and information. Best, Ann
lucky for me i was there last Summer on the hottest day of the year June 28th. i found it was more interesting than Tower of London, and the staff far more helpful at Hampton Court, had a good day and might go again this year.
Did you experience any supernatural activity while at Hampton Court? I am absolutely obsessed with Henry VIII reign and the lives of his 6 wives at that time.
Hampton Court Palace is an incredible historic building! We are making a video compilation of the top Historic Royal Palace buildings and wondered if we could include your video in it? We can attribute your channel in the credits. Let us know if you are interested.
Always fascinated with HAMPTON COURT .on my bucket list.. I associate it with Queen ANNE BOLYNE.. TRADGEY WHAT WAS DONE TO HER. ANY ONE WHO HEARD ABOUT HER STORY WILL SAY THE BIGGEST SET UP OF THE 1500s ..

I was at hampton court today with my kids. We live really close. So nice to watch these videos as we take these treasures so much for granted!
I am so envious!!
Been there 9 times and this video gives an amazing perspective on the palace! Great video!
9 times. How many things did you see? I just went there today. The max you can spend is an hour and a half.
This gives me fond memories of my own trip years ago!
Thank you so much for this nice video!!!
The British are rightly proud of their history. Your videos are informative and hugely entertaining. Thank you for posting them.
This was an excellent VLOG thankyou. We're staying in Kingston Upon Thames in a weeks time, and will definitely be going here . Keep up the good work.

Hi great video :) i am planning to visit Hampton Court. How long did it take you to finish the interior tour?
We spent about 2-2.5 hours inside with the audio guide, if I'm remembering correctly! However, we spent the entire day at Hampton Court!

It was Cardinal Wolsey that originally built it, then stolen off him by Henry Viii
