The whole crew at BT have been a part of my life. When I was having my knees replaced I made sure that the TV was tuned on to this show. I have seen people come and go, but when I heard the. news about you leaving the show I was completely shocked. I will certainly miss you. Best wishes on your new journey!!!

Dear Melanie, as the closes for you at BT and CITY TV, more importantly at the same time a very important door is opening which is returning to your family which is more important than your job you had all those years despite what society says that work comes first, nonsense, family is always first. Take care of your two boys, your son and husband to the best of your ability and when you are ready to return to work, may that journey be as fulfilling as your last. As a BT viewer you will always be loved by your fans and viewers by your presence and professionalism you have exuded these past 11 years. We will miss you but never forget you. Take care sweet lady. Mel you will never be sorry you choose your home family over your work family.
When you kid's are teenagers will not need you as much and their expensive interests, toys and clothes cost a fortune and they really don't care if you are home.
Plus by then you will need the Work Family more than ever then.
So enjoy your years at home with your family.
I'd never give up those blessed years with my kid's!

Mel, if you keep a tissue in the same location on Friday, I have a way for you to make a joke of your tears. When you require a second tissue, pretend to search down there for it and exclaim,”I know I had two when I came on.” It might lighten thing for you and the audience as well. I heard about a woman who was a guest speaker at a function who did this in all seriousness. Have fun with your son, supervise his homework, take him to great places locally, take him to shelters and soup kitchens to experience reality and hug him whenever the urge moves you.
