The biggest change for me was turning him Sp neutral on E0S0, that's huge for JY, on V1-V2 he (JY) had to BA sometimes because of SP issue even with galagher on team
Sunday's new trace is REALLY strong, before that characters like Jingliu and Jing yuan would regen around 26-28 energy which is slightly less than a single skill cast, now him giving 40 energy at base means that he can regen 1/3 of jingliu' ult, half of selee's ult and so on, while also giving potential to scale even harder on characters with massive ult costs or multicast ults, yunli having a double cast ult already hits 48 energy, if we ever get a character with 3 or 4 ult charges we can possibly hit de territory where he can give 65 - 80 energy
Yeah, we're finally starting to see percentage-based regen run away with being the more ideal support compared to a flat recharge like Tingyun's. We were already beginning to see that potential with Huohuo, but I definitely like the new Trace ability on Sunday. Now we can definitely push into 300+ Energy caps.
the problem with new powerfull chars are that they raise the bar for all other chars so they underperform from then on. Also Hoyo is cutting them self in theyre ability to make money on reruns. Who is gonna pull for blade at this point? dosnt matter that he is pretty cool when he cant clear shit anymore. I am not a fan of how hsr handles the meta.
To be fair, Blade is early year 1 and powercreep is inevitable. Blade is still capable of clearing content, but needs a better team to support him. Jade did give him a lifeline with her Debt Collector buff, which turns his team into dual-DPS and lets him charge his Retaliation faster. If the game doesn't introduce powerful characters, especially when it's time for a gameplay shift, that only produces an unhealthy game environment because powerful characters are also potential upgrades to existing characters. For example, while Topaz eventually got Ratio as a Follow-up partner, she didn't start seeing her potential shine until Jade and Feixiao came and now Sunday is looking to be a powerful support for her. When we look at it that way, these strong characters are necessary. The problem is when character kit designs are bad or they hold back, like Yukong. We'll see, but as long as there's a way for older characters to clear content, we don't need to be that concerned for now.
@@RockmanXelnia2 I still need to ask, what reason is there for reruns of old characters? I dont have Seele or Blade but like their gameplay, so i might be stupid enough to pull them. But i cant see other people have the same mindset as me. Powercreep is indeed inevitable, but why rerun some of these character then?
Sparkle is still good, but she always had that niche specialty of being an answer to SP-intensive teams. I've already seen footage of Sunday being able to maintain Imbibitor's enhanced basic ATK with no issues at E0. If anything, Sunday powercrept the universal potency of Harmony altogether.
@@RockmanXelnia2 another thing I don’t like is how universal supports have becoming while still being the best in their own field as much as robin is a convenience for me she’s almost too cracked in every team and almost mandatory in FUA teams the same with Sunday he’s pushing out supports literally dedicated to sp regen while still being the best in summon comps
Yeah that's true as well. Robin's ATK boost helps DoT teams tremendously on top of putting them back to the front to pile on damage. Though Robin being somewhat mandatory for FuA teams is really a matter of pushing FuA potency. She makes the most impact on Feixiao's team, which is the first truly solid FuA team in the game (not to mention the most flexible) I think it's still fine for now as long as powercreep continues increasing value rather than drop it and for that, they need to pump units out with solid kits that not only have lasting power, but can be buffed by future releases.
This is an awesome breakdown, thank you. I look forward to further coverage from you. 🙏🏼
Working out ways to get more content out like this while working my current job has been an ongoing endeavor but I have more in the pipeline

Is Sunday really bettter than Sparkle for DanIL E2 ? Is that really possible ?????? Saw on reddit 🤣🤣🤣
It's very likely Sunday is going to kick Sparkle out of DHIL's team and the more dupes someone puts into Sunday, the further Sunday runs away with it.
@RockmanXelnia2 wow that's crazy.. can't wait to see that.

Rip sparkle you got powercrept way too early
