We actually have a bollard every 50 meters here in germany, that's the maximum distance. There's even a rule, that in bends there must be at least 5 bollards visible over a distance of 200 meters. Bollards on the left must have two dots instead of one bar, and bollards next to road entries must have yellow/amber reflectors instead of white. Oh and great video! A nice overview, good explanations and just really well made. Happy new year!
especially with the gen 4 update for iceland, their bollard actually is quite helpful in nmpz sometimes, if you're not somewhere coastal or surrounded by the iceland mountains
In Poland In the upper part of the bollard, above the reflective element, there is a plate with the road number (only for national and provincial roads). Below the reflective element, there is a sign indicating the kilometer of the given road. Meanwhile, the number at the very bottom of the bollard represents the subsequent 100-meter section of that kilometer.
Hope you enjoy! I would highly appreaciate some feedback regarding the music on this one, is it too loud/quiet, good selection,... See you in the new year.
Another banger from my favourite GeoGuessr youtuber. I understand that this isn't a game with infinite content for youtube but you still manage to create entertaining and well-edited videos. Also, not me being dependant on the Icelandic bollard to guess the country...
Objections: Iceland and Faroe should definitely be higher, at least B tier, they're very useful especially in NMPZ The French bollard isnt common enough, good looking enough or distinct enough (from other bollards like the Scottish bollard) to be in S tier
how are you putting Australia in S but NZ in low B 😭 the AU bollard can get mixed up with some other bollards by new players, NZ bollards are very unique only looking somewhat similar to the Poland bollard which is much fatter, AND NZ bollards show up just as commonly if not more
In my opinion, the icelandic bollard deserves a higher rating. As a decent player, over 50% of the time I get Iceland, it's due to the distinctive yellow bollard.
No idea what Denmark and Ireland are doing in same tier :) I've played a lot over 20k games of various maps and can't remember even seeing irish bollard, where danish is seen quite often, is unique and quite a lot of times the very first indicator for Denmark. Seen Belgium bollard many times, not too often but has been useful sometimes. Maybe irish bollards can be seen more in urban games, as i do play much more rural maps (NM/NMPZ)?
@@_lucca_ you said "now we are left with the three scandinavian countries", and then you proceeded to talk about norway, finland and sweden. someone know knows basic geography know that finland is not in scandinavia...

that really means a lot, thank you!
Incredibly helpful. Thank you, this inspired me to study bollards.
Great video man

I just randomly found your channel just wanna say that this is actually quite interesting. Also can you may talk a bit faster? But overall great vid
I live in Switzerland in a little village, like 3000 people and I think they are bollards on the most streets.
I think I should have clarified that they feel rarer than they probably are because of the lowcam
@_lucca_ btw. It wasn't hate or anything, I just wanted to explain it from a Swiss person😅
yea no worries I knew you were just clarifying
you are underrated w vid!
thank you!
Also found out turkey bollards have text which helps with the region
didn't notice until now, good call
Great video, much appreciation coming from a new geoguessr player
thank you!

As I pointed out, Australia can help you region guess. Which I think is a pretty big advantage
Icelands bollards are so easy to recognise and they’re extremely common, but yeah icelands an easy country to recognise either way
Ive seen the belgian bolland and confused it for Denmark because I didnt know Belgium had one
I'm pretty sure I wrote down as a tip somewhere that exact situation
As a German it‘s every 100m I think but I’m also not 100% sure and just at some areas we don’t use them but that would be to mich

can you leave a link for the tierlist tho
sure! tiermaker.com/create/bollards-of-geoguessr-8799-2?presentationMode=false
Great video! An advice I might have would be for you to talk faster, but other than that very good work!
my next video definitely takes that in mind

yes I probably over ranked the Irish one, was probably also a bit biased cuz I've seen them irl
By far!
Hey didn't Slovakia add a new one and matches with hungary,
that sounds familiar but to not make things too complicated I just decided consider the main bollards of a country
A GeoGuessr youtuber who doesn't know what Scandinavia is? 🤨
I'm aware denmark is part of Scandinavia but as far as bollards go it's a different category
