Adventure OTS was my very first ship in 2018. I revisited earlier this year and will end my year on this ship again. It’s a great ship with just enough to be entertaining and still take time to relax and not feel like you are missing out on other things. Yes, I found all those spots too. I like my quiet time to recharge without others breaking in on my prayers and thoughts, but after that I barely stop chatting with everyone I meet till I crawl in bed. Thanks for sharing, it is great to know others like their alone time also.
I am really glad to hear this. My wife and I will be taking our first cruise together on Adventure OTS in January and we are really excited. I am a COMPLETE Extrovert 😆😆. And my wife is exactly the opposite so I’m happy to hear that there are spaces for both of our personalities. We can’t wait.
@bamaknifeguy As an introvert, I've always been surprised how many quiet spaces there are, even on the big ships, so I like to include them in my tip videos. Be sure to check my other videos on this channel and on my other channel for more tips like this!
When dining in main dining room you can also ask your server for foods not on the menu you’ve had on other trips and sometimes they’ll get it for you. We asked our server about Filipino bread and they had it made for us and would bring some every night we dined.
Better than separating the beds on an inside cabin. We push them together and push everything to the right... and place both end tables on the left, which gives you the best of both worlds.
Some great tips. Looking at a 2024 May/June sailing. Only other options are Enchantment (not enough kid's activities) or Icon/Wonder ($3,000-$5,000 more).
Adventure would be a great value! Still fun stuff for kids to do (water slides, flow rider, ice skating, putt putt golf, etc), without the much higher cost of the new ships. Just pack your swimwear in your carry-on the first day, and change after you get onboard, and you can start using the pools right away!
Yes, a few of them have a cover charge. Chop's Grille, Giovanni's Table, Izumi, and Johnny Rockets all cost extra, as does everything at Ben & Jerry's. The prices aren't too bad, but we usually just stick to the free stuff.
That is a great question, but I am not sure. In my searches, it seems like some people say that it is in a box welded to the radar tower. I will have to look for it on our next cruise and add it as a secret!
Hi, thanks for the video! We're about to get on Adventure of the Seas in a few months. When the ship comes in to port for Cozumel, does it get to the dock the night before a port day or does it dock that morning?
It depends on a lot of factors, usually your itinerary specifies when you will be in port. Cozumel has a lot to do, so most of the ships dock early in the morning, Adventure included. I've never heard of them docking the night before, but we have docked very early (3 or 4 AM) when there was a medical issue onboard. I don't think they let anyone off until the normal time though, 7 or 8 AM.
That'll be great! Be sure to carry your swimsuit onboard, or wear it underneath your clothes on the first day, and try out the slides right away, since the lines are usually much shorter than on any other day (except sometimes on the first port day).
It's a great ship and great crew! I have a couple more videos I'm working on about it that will come out in February 2023, so make sure to subscribe to see those!
@@joeyplayz6348 I actually didn't do the slides. The ones on Liberty of the Seas are really tame, I don't know how these compare, but they look similar. Fun, but not exciting.
They started separating them into Cafe Promenade and Sorrentos on newer ships, but Adventure is old enough that they were all one combined venue named Cafe Promenade.
Looking for tips on what to bring on a cruise? Here's my list: th-cam.com/video/5A1uIiWZJPY/w-d-xo.html

It's a great ship, like you said it's not too big, and not too small!

We have done that once before, with a dessert we really liked. It's rare, but always worth asking!
Looking forward to embarkation day on this ship. Thank you for the tips!
Have fun! It's a great ship, made even better if you remember these tips!
Yea! We are settling sail on this Friday. We are really looking forward to this trip! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Have fun, it's a great ship!
Thanks for the tips!
Sailing July 2024!
You're welcome, it's a fun ship!
Nice voice, easy to understand, great tips, you’re a natural! Great video. I hope to sail Adventure of the Seas soon!
Thanks so much! I'm working on some more videos, including the secrets of the ship I sailed on in January, look for that next month!
The card room used to be a cigar bar - bummer it's gone!
That's interesting! I've heard they used to have them on some ships, but didn't realize this was one of those before! Thanks for sharing!

That's an interesting idea I haven't heard of before, I'll have to try it in my next inside room!
I was thinking if they would be okay with this because it would make things so much easier and save bed space since you can cuddle up to the wall
Great tips, thanks a bunch!
You're welcome!
That announcements knob/dial looks filthy!
Luckily I don't think anyone ever touches it anymore!

Thanks for this. Are there restaurants on the ship that you have to pay extra to go to?

Where will I find the keel coin on display?

Great very interested for chapel ❤
Yes! It's one of the few ships that still has one!
Are u talking Adventure of the seas or Royal Caribbean
I made this video about Adventure of the Seas, but some of them apply to other Royal Caribbean ships too.
I got to talk to the captain on the adventures of the sea
That's awesome! He seemed really nice when he was answering questions during the Q&A I went to.
I’m going on this in july

@@LukeofAllTrades. that’s good I’m very exited
Also how are the slides

Cafe Promenade? is this not Sporentos?
