Dave brother thx ur kind reply. The original player is George Barnes of the Joe lipman orchestra who backed Connie Francis on this song n many other great songs like Happy Days n Lonely Nights , I’m sorry I made you cry etc. Who’s Sorry Now guitar backing has some very unusual jerking actions. George Barnes is guitarist of Lipstick on your collar. Your are the very Best Dave. If you can demonstrate Who’s Sorry Now would benefit thousands of your fans who love Connie, like me. AlienJOHN
First time played last night at jam. Young lady wants to sing this song...one of my "Oh Sh@*" moments. Always liked this song since it first came out - I'm an old dude. Could hear the leads in my mind but hadn't tried them since...early 70's. So I fumbled thru it and said to myself while navigating the lead that I have to check out TH-cam to learn it so there is no Oh Sh@* moment again. I knew/felt it kinda played over the chords. So, thanks for your instructional videos. Thanks also for your dialogue. Will be prepared if a next time happens. Cheers mate!
Fantastic Dave. Just awesome. Waited 20 years for this lesson of this song. Do you by any chance have a video lesson of Who’s Sorry Now. The guitar playing is really unbelievable. Thanks a million from AlienJOHN, Hongkong
Thanks! Funnily enough, I used to play Who's Sorry Now in the same show that I played this song. I haven't done a lesson on it it does have a really nice guitar part. Not sure who played on the original.
I've just got to say you are absolutely the best tutor in all cyber-space! Right on the money, no punches pulled, open honest, and, (to you no doubt!), simple. I just want to thank you for that, (and being English). Probably ought to say though, I doubt I'll ever do it! That's what I like most about the guitar - it's so hard, (for me), to steal stuff . I've also noticed that by & large people can't steal from me either. Comforting? Not sure, but the natural justice has appeal in a world full of predators. Anyway thank you so much for relieving over 50 yrs of puzzling! Who are you? Where do you play?
Thanks for the comments. It's much appreciated. I am based in kent and teach in that area. I also play in a few bands around the country (there are some links on my channel page if you want to check them out).
