- This was soooo crazy to see in person! I really didn't realize what happened until I heard the smash on the ground only a few feet away from the ride operator. I walked over and saw the operator pointing the phone out to me and shaking his head in disgust. After the ride finished, the girl got off and picked up her phone from the asphalt. She said, " OMG - it still works." No apology, just walked away.
Update - She commented on the video claiming to be this girl

I was on a ride called kamikaze at my local state fair and the dude a couple of seats ahead of me dropped his phone. It hit the grated metal walkway so hard it echoed. Keep your items secured. Don't be like these people

I keep my phone in a waterproof pouch around my neck like a necklace. I also hold it tightly while it's in there and around my neck. I don't just hold the phone itself.

I've seen people attempt to bring iPads on similar rides while waiting in line, can't imagine how that worked out
.... standing in line... iPad to the head. Any ride we film, we have a go pro mounted to a handle with a wrist strap and a death grip holding on to it. I'd like to think that's safe. I also tried a chest mount harness but some Coasters don't even allow those.

I went on the same ride at a county fair. So fun. My friend threw up the second time
this kind of stuff is unsafe and dangerous, somebody busted their face at another fair and had to go to the hospital because of this.
She also got in trouble and sued for not keeping her phone secured

I saw this happen a few days ago at the fair but it was on the Footloose ride.
I went to a carnival yesterday and while i was waiting in line the girl on the ride had dropped her phone. She had gotten off and grabbed her phone and it looked like the phone was fine. It had landed top up so it was good.
i went on this ride once and i cried so hard wen we went upside down

I believe you. My cousin went on it with me and she’s a nervous wreck, so she couldn’t stop farting the entire ride. I also could stop crying because I was laughing so hard and so disgusted at the same time

You need to be careful and hold onto your phone all times and be buckled if your on a ride or put your phone in your hoodie pocket if you have a hoodie on if you have pockets in your pants put your phone in the front pocket,
Bro I waited in line for 45 minutes at the fair to ride a similar ride, except it was called the Superman and was a little bit faster and took you upside down for longer. Best ride ever no 🧢

@@TheYoungBunch thankfully she was okay. his phone was in his pocket, he forgot to put it by the workers outside of the ride so she understood it was an accident. she didn’t get severely hurt it just hit her face but she said she was okay!! he apologized to her so many times.
