is there a way to download this video to my computer before this being the last of DreX Rope videos is gone forever? I want to keep this as it is something I'm interested in trying in retirement and of all the ropewalk I can find this one is the one I relate to the best :) it's so sad to see DreX hasn't uploaded in over 8 years :(
I can figure out a way to directly get you the vid if you'd like. Never posted much because of trade secrets etc. Pandemic hit us hard (physically, personally caught 4 of the variants) being mindful of spreading, then help getting sick put us repeatedly at a standstill. Then came the supply shortages .. nonetheless we're currently on a semi permanent hiatus :(

Is it a soft or hard lay, how would one do either of the two?
Wow I've never seen that level of attention to detail when making a rope by hand. I the old days American Hemp was often used. What fiber do you use?
how can i know details about this machine and manfacturing address?
Technique and set up is awesome but why such a long rope.?
So long?.. it's much easier to make it shorter than make it longer after it's made (cut vs extending it somehow)

What stops the drill at 7:10?
A custom made speed control I carry
@@DreXRope Cool

What would you recommend as a good resource for learning to make ropes the way you do? I enjoy rope making but I've only ever done it small scale.
Remote control?

Worst song choice ever, didn't even include subtitles to explain the process.
The video is annotated if you watch on computer
