The RIFF MASTER \m/ Paul Quinn is not only a awesome guitar he's a great guy I seen Saxon many times he's always willing to take pictures sign album cover t-shirt what ever you have or just chat for a bit. There all great guys a true fan base band.... I never been disappointed by a Saxon show and always looking forward to the next show. This video could have been hours thanks for sharing your newest subscriber. Paul hope you're over your sniffles.
One of the best live shows i've ever seen (and i've seen hundreds), SAXON early to mid 80's (don't exactly remember) in NYC. I know it was in support of Denim & Leather, and they just blew me away! So entertaining and powerful!
I love how he's not a talkative guy at other times ("Paul's the quiet one, like _really_ quiet." -Lemmy), but when he gets to talk about guitars he just kind of comes alive.
Totally awesome to hear all about Paul Quinn's gear from the man himself. One of the greatest and most underrated players out there. You can listen to all the shred-maesters and speed demons you want, but there is so much to learn from the sheer breadth of Paul's abilities. and one of the originals too! Love the vids guys!
My dad and I hung out with Saxon on the tour bus, and Quinny and the guitar tech were talking about the "No" pedal😂😂😂 probably my favorite memory with Saxon
Been watching Sax since they supported Head and this is the very first time I have ever heard Paul talk. Well, he doesn’t have to say much as his guitar does the talk for him. He’s a good guy with a passion for music. Crack on kid and hopefully, some youths from this current generation, might just pic up a guitar and learn to play just like you. New Wave Of Heavy Metal is coming. When, is anyone’s guess.
It's really cool that Paul opted for a Japanese Strat instead of an american made one. The Japanese Fenders are great quality guitars, my local shop has a Japanese Tele that I've got my eyes on. If I get it, I'll be swapping out the pickups for Tele sized P90s made by Rio Grande pickups
loòooove SAXON!!! Iron Maiden gets alot of the attention of the NWOBHM bands, but frankly, I think the more recent Saxon albums are better than the more recent Maiden albums...
Think it was the end of 1994; I was asked if I could 'sort the PA system' at Mexborough Youth Club, 'cos Graham was having a rehearsal in the back room'. Turned out 'Son of a Bitch' were reuniting - albeit without Biff, some American bloke who may have been famous for all I know but whose name escapes me, standing in - for the first time since Pete had left in 81: Oliver Dawson Quinn and Gill. I set up the mics and they just turned up the amps... kicking in with Dallas 1pm. Let's say I'd been a fan, having played bass with GO in 83/4, on two Hendrix/Dylan tribute nights (when I was 15), so to hear the band gel like they'd never been apart... like the end of Spinal Tap, made real... brought a lump to my throat, those four blokes totally in sync; the years, and previous animosities, had just fallen away.
Especially with bands touring internationally, Kempers are just a really solid and consistent option. I know they aren't a favorite especially for musicians who really enjoy the unique aspects of different cabs and heads, but I understand why bands use them.
Saxon's Paul Quinn shows off the gear he uses on tour!
Who should we film with next?
Kenny Wayne Shepherd?
Someone that hasn't got a sound check going on in the background. lol
One of my favourites guitarists, he has a lot of incredible licks and solos.
:)
I agree
Paul is a good friend, he is a gentleman, and an absolutely AMAZING player, much of his wonderfully fantastic Blues playing is kept under wraps...
:)
do you know who is this man? one of the most important guitar player in the heavy metal history
Very important guitar player for sure!
Yes
I don't know how influential he is but certainly an awesome one!
@@maracineee sadly he is not going on the road anymore..
Hes a Underrated guitarist. Great player
Most definitely.
If I hear that word underrated once more on youtube, I'm going to run into the street and burn down the world.
@A_Wise_Young_Man. Underrated!! Well he is. idiot Lol
he’s underrated and has influenced others. i take it your not a Saxon fan or metal fan are you or you would know this already like others have.

I've never heard him talk so much! Fantastic player. Thanks for posting.
No problem!

I like Paul's lead playing. He came up with some great lead hooks. Much admired.
Very exciting solos
Paul is one of the greatest!
He's awesome!
A man who knows his gear and knows exactly what he wants it to do.
A true Yorkshireman !
Quinny is a great guitarist, very underrated...
Very true.
I had read a while back that he had lost half or all of his left pinky finger. Is there any truth to this? Doubt b/c his finger looks fine..
@@zaigar111 I believe Graham Oliver lost part of a finger before joining Saxon.
@@CelticSaint I knew I read about that somewhere. Thanks for clarifying!!

Nice! Such a cool story. :)
Saw them open for Priest, had no clue who this guy was but realized that he can really rip. Awesome guitarist!

Now I know!
Saxon guitar tone is amazing.

I went to the show on Sunday, it was at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles, IL
Nice!

Paul Quinn is a guitar God. These were too short.
We have very limited time to film the videos unfortunately.

Sounds like Vic reeves

Lo único que es cierto y acierto nada remplazara a las guitarras siempre serán lo que son👌👉👍
I love Paul Quinn. He's a legend. But that thumbnail... Bo' Selecta's Craig David??
Someone gives this guy a tissue
You could've used a better still picture of him...you made him look like a needs patient..
I never realised Vic Reeves played the guitar
