Why can't ffls/ state police approve the forms? These wait times are un constitutional. Abolish the atf.
That may be even worse. Some states are extremely liberal and don't want anyone having guns so they would make it harder for people.
@theoriginalrogeball welp sucks for them if I'm being honest, they get what they vote for, as for other states which are "Laxed" ffl or state police should be able too, after all it shouldn't be no different, besides they run a background check on you, Cans don't make a gun anymore dangerous , especially if one passes the background checks.

Im like 320 days on a e file. Ive never had it quicker than 12 months
ALmost a year at this point.
I'm on 8 months for a trust.
I purchased my suppressor December 6, 2022. The suppressor shop that I went through wasn’t able to submit my paperwork until February 2023 and I’m still waiting today 11 months later in 2024.
That’s frustrating when the shop is slow. I may have to do another update video with current wait times.
ATF deliberately dragging their feet?
That’s a common theory, hard to tell if it is deliberate or just bureaucratic inefficiency and deliberate indifference.
E-form 1 SBR with 200.00 payment over 6 months and still waiting! Some people get done in a few weeks, others like myself get screwed and wait 6 months.
The distribution curve is pretty odd. There are some people that get them faster, some slower and then a bulk that can use current wait times as a decent guide.

They don’t seem to approve strictly based on the order they receive the forms.

Just got my approval. 11 days shy of 9 months. Painful wait, but I finally got it.
Waiting on an e form 4 since September 15th, 2022. This is awful.
If you start another form every couple months it will seem like they are getting done all the time!

I would have been happy if I would got mine in 200 plus days , As of today 30 Aug 2023 Its been over 365 days and counting for me , 25 Aug 2023 was my submit date . this was going to be my third can . I regret ever buying it , completely not worth the hassle .

I submitted my eform 4 07/01/2022 and it took 323 days for approval.. such a joke
Eformed December last year for an rc2. Calling and giving your permit control number doesn’t help either
There doesn't seem to be much that you can do to affect the wait.
I waited 13 months. Crazy long time to get a form approved. Almost like it's on purpose....
FWIW they some times do 'batch' approvals if you have paperwork pending on more than one item. I bought 3 suppressors each a month apart. All three approvals came back the same day so the wait was 8 months, 9 months, and 10 months respectively.
Silencer Central: (4 Cans) Banish 30 - 261 days; Banish 45 - 274 days; Banish 22 - 275 days; Banish 223 (Pending since March 10, 2023). So I'm looking at early December for my last can. It is what it is at this point, just a waiting game!
It's worth it when you bring them home!
Just got my 2 silencer central cans approval back today Almost 6 months on the dot.
These wait times are inhumane
My form was submitted/in progress on Aug 31st 2022, just got my can about 2 weeks ago.
Who did you do your paperwork with?
@@NycAgent47 capitol armory, in progress 8/31/22 approved 5/22/23, then since my CLEO was apparently incapable of picking up their mail, it took a little longer to get here after being approved, got it late June.

SilencerShop posted a recent approval from early November 2022, so hopefully you’re getting close!
We need to sue the ATF. Delaying the processing of something that is an inherent right is tyrannical in every way.

Bought mine February 4th of this year, picked it up mid-august. So about six and a half months.

@AdventureColorado so far same shit. As of 11/06/2023 still waiting. When I call or write asking wtf, I'm told having to process all these requests is making the process take longer. So basically, I know its been 14 months, but you asking what's taking so long makes it take longer. I wrote silencerco about a refund if I cancel, I'll be charged 35% restocking fee, because fk me.

My local sheriff's in the 4 countys around me are not enforcing the brace ruling, i feel sorry for those scammed into form 1ing all their pistols/rifles
A lot of jurisdictions in Colorado aren't enforcing our 15 round magazine limit, but unfortunately since the law is still on the books it means the magazines aren't available for sale or shipping to Colorado from larger retailers. It also means that certain jurisdictions will still prosecute. It's much better to avoid having the bad laws that just hoping that you can count on it not being enforced!
My eform 1 for a suppressor / silencer to make my own. Submitted on 4/27/2023 Still waiting as of 9/1/2023 (122 days). I am an FFL as well AFT website is stating 50 day for eform 1.
I submitted 2 SBR Form 1s on June 9th, and they said the wait was 41 days. Sept 2nd and still not approved.

Mine took about 10. months
That's better than some current waits.

EForm 1 with digital fingerprints and single shot trust through Silencer Shop and I’m at 72 days.
That's fairly long for a Form 1, those tend to run shorter than the Form 4s.
Yeah I don’t get it. I payed the $50 deal through SilencerShop to help speed it through and they already had my fingerprints so I have no clue.
SilencerShop can't speed up the ATF side of the wait though. They can help you get it submitted, but ultimately the ATF does whatever the want with the processing side.
Correct, they did their thing. I just meant faster as in them helping with filling in correct info and not having to mail anything in. I guess all these amnesty forms are taking priority or mine is at the bottom of a pile.
I'm with you, I'm still waiting on one from May, hopefully they aren't getting much longer. When I recorded the video they weren't hitting 72 days. So that trend is definitely in the wrong direction.
What could possibly be the reason it takes so long? I sincerely doubt there are so many form4’s they can’t get through them faster? I could be wrong but idk, I just find it odd.
I'm sure it's a mix of inadequate staffing to actually process the forms and bureaucratic inefficiency.

What I don’t understand is you can do o form 1 for sbr or diy suppressor and they get approved 10-45 days most of the time. So why in the hell does the form 4 take so long? I think it’s strictly to discourage people from buying suppressors.
Mine was 1 yr 1 month and 20 days efile it’s a joke the reason I went for a suppressor was the short wait time but that didnt play out

Wow wtf. How that happened is beyond me. What do they pick applicants at random? This shit is such b.s. I’m going on a year for my form 4. I have two other form 4s in the process, maybe they’ll “batch” approve my ass. Nah, that would be too convenient and easy on the armed citizen
