Dude in the middle says Ole Miss can still make the playoffs with 2 losses but Ohio State has to win out after losing their first game. CBS needs to find someone with some more brain cells.

My guy if ole miss win out they will make the playoffs especially if they beat Georgia plus we lost to a ranked team so tht play a factor
Ole Miss will not make the playoffs. I can see them losing to Florida as well. The SEC now is no better than any other conference as any low tier team can beat the top teams. This playoff format will be interesting because any team 1-12 can win the Natty. It’s about time we get to see a better version of the playoffs instead of the 4 team invitational they had going where they wanted 3 SEC teams and maybe Clemson or Ohio State although these clowns wants to put half the SEC conference in the playoffs ( don’t know why ). I thinks they should expand the playoffs to at least 28 teams. Have the ranked teams 1-25 and 3 at large. Why have only 12 ranked teams in the playoffs when there are 25? People will say “ those bottom tier teams will get blown out”. So what. There’s always upsets and remember, it’s a one game elimination where anything can happen but these clowns just want to have an SEC playoff. Listening there’s already an SEC playoff, it’s called the conference championship. I don’t want to see a watered down Ole Miss, LSU or even Alabama in the playoffs just because they’ve SEC teams. “That’s Crap Brothers” as so Cyrus said it so smoothly in “The Warriors”😅

Here's all you need to know about the media these days. Dillon Gabriel: 1449 yards, 11 passing tuddies to three picks, almost 80% completion and not to mention his ground threat, and you have guys saying "he hasn't played like we expected him to..." dudes playing lights out ball. People are on tv and social media so much these days we can't even be objective about statistics!

When will you all wake up to Vandy . They have covered 5 out of 6 games with wins over Bama , Virginia Tech, and Kentucky . 4-2 . This is not Grandaddy's Vandy. We are experiencing some of the first signs of the times with the transfer portal.
Vandy didn't play as well against UK as they did against Bama, but they didn't have to. Some mistakes, some missed opportunities but I think Vandy should be ranked.
For voters that Georgia State loss is awful and as good as it is, the Bama win doesn't look as good as last week

@williebates3398 the best offense they played is Oklahoma who can barley score. Ohio state is almost 100% in the red zone and oregon has one of the most explosive offenses. Texas hasn't been tested by any qb thus far.

You have to do more than just be in the top 12. It's not the top 12 teams, it's the 5 highest conference champions and the next 7 teams.
Ole Miss played good enough to win but didn't. LSU showed a strong game by Nussmeier primarily with great play by the receivers and a resilient defense.

@@Grae2079 I agree, but if you look at how they rank teams in the playoff rankings, if a team has the head to head win, they will always be ranked ahead if they have the same amount of losses. Thats why Texas was always ranked ahead and Alabama last year
@@1ntox1cation that was before. Now with the 12 team playoffs and also now the sec doesn’t have divisions this season will be different than before. Having a win over a team won’t automatically get you above them. Especially if Bama doesn’t finish strong the rest of this season a 2 loss or more team won’t be put above a 1 loss team even with a win over them.

Ohio State finally played a decent team (yet Oregon isn’t even that great) and got shown up. They’re consistently overrated and they keep getting these easy schedules to help them stay relevant.
Well they did lose by one at number 1 Oregon with a chance to win and probably would have won when Ohios State got to Oregons thirty, but got the little tiny push off penalty. It’s not like they lost at home to Vanderbilt. (Cough) Alabama. So if Ohio state loses to number 3 penn state by 3 and have a lose to number 1 Oregon by 1. They don’t deserve to make it? but a two loss Ole Miss would deserve to get in. Losing to Kentucky and LSU at home. What a Joke

Yes, Ole Miss is out. They will lose to Florida as well. Stop being SEC Minions. The SEC is not that dominant of a conference as it used to be and why do i say that? Because when you you’re seeing Georgia and Alabama struggling to win games against inferior SEC teams says either these two teams suck or the SEC is watered down. It’s either one or the other or two things can be true. There shouldn’t be no more than 2 or 3 SEC teams in the playoffs ( Texas, Alabama and Georgia )but I wouldn’t be surprised Alabama not making it
SEC actually has defense, that's the difference in that conference than any others. South Carolina isn't no slouch, Kentucky has a great defense is why they played Georgia tough, Texas still hasn't played anyone, Oklahoma isn't anyone. We'll see if they're the real deal next week.
@@breeze7863 that's only been happening recently. Mississippi State dropping 31 on Georgia tells me Georgia doesn't have a very good defense. In fact, I don't think it's defense in the SEC, it's more of offense now. I'm telling you, there's starting to become a shift in the SEC, in a few seasons from now,it will be common for vandy, Kentucky of the worlds will be able to be SEC champs because offense will be more important than defenses. I'm not counting Texas because even if they weren't in the SEC, they would still beat down any SEC teams anyway. With NIL, more teams are going after QB's and Receivers because offense seems to be dictating since defensive players can barely touch players so offensive is the key going forward. Other than Texas maybe, I don't see a clear cut favorite in the SEC to win it all, especially in the new format which in my opinion, doesn't go far enough. All ranked teams 1-25 and 3 at large bids would be better

After last week’s upsets the refs definitely came looking to not allow underdogs get any chance of winning. The number of no call penalties on new teams in conference play was ridiculous today. Terrible announcing too. The bias is strong among the announcers.
