In this video I did the same method of pattern drafting but it is a full circle you can check it out maybe it will give more detail th-cam.com/video/uDdFk6Dx-Xo/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for making this video. How do you arrive at the 10 cm to add to the right panel? Is that just a flat number, regardless of the other measurements?
Hi there, yes 10 cm should fit every body measurement but I always advise that you test the pattern and then if you feel like you need to add 5 cm to make it 15cm you go on and do so.
If you are talking about the length of the skirt... all you do is to make the front panel the same length as the back panel...if the length of the back panel is 60 cm make the front panel 60 cm
Is it possible to make this wrap skirt in such a way that it wraps to the back and the belt to be long enough to tie it at the back instead of using buttons?
Hi there, yes it is possible, you just make the center back center front. Please checkout the brown wrapback skirt but it's not a circle skirt as this one but you would still use the same method.
@NomondeMketshane I am a new subbie & I must say that I learn a lot from your videos. Please could consider making us a pattern for the traditional pinafore.
Hi there, when it's folded and complete it must be 4 - 5 cm that means you can cut your fabric at least 12 cm wide then you will fold the raw edges then fold it in half to that 4-5 cm
Live your tutorials so easy to follow ❤
Thank you, love it
You are so talented. God bless

Uma my wrap is added with 15 cm so I will subtract 15 cm ngaphezulu ngiwu add on ngezansi on hem?
Hey there, you just add your 15 cm on the front panel no subtraction
Thank you
How many metres do i need for size 42 ?
I used 2 meters here...so yours could be 3 - 4 meters
🙏👌
Thanks girl
Why do you modify the waistline on the other panel Nomonde
It's a wrap skirt so the front must overlap otherwise if you want a normal skirt you can use just the back panel to cut both front and back with it.
@@NomondeMketshane okay I see. I am still a beginner, your videos truly do help. Thank you
Beautiful 👌...also I love your fabrics...where do you buy them
@@Czarmash Makoti fabric shop, Marabastad, Pretoria
where did you buy the brown paper?
Makoti fabric shop in Marabastad
thank you @@NomondeMketshane
I struggle with waistband😢
Hey there, what is the problem with the waist band
Can you share the measurements clearly
The measurement is waist circumference divided by pi ( the value of pi is 3.14 )
Hi Normonde, how wide is the waste band?
Hi there, when it's folded and complete it must be 4 - 5 cm that means you can cut your fabric at least 12 cm wide then you will fold the raw edges then fold it in half to that 4-5 cm
Thank you so much Normonde, we really appreciate you sharing your skill with us.
