  • Stormwater Treatment Areas, STAs are constructed wetlands - the largest in the world -- designed to remove phosphorus from the water as it flows south through the Everglades and into Florida Bay.

    If this is cleaning up Florida's waters, how come I saw corals and hundreds of fish in Biscayne Bay in 2017, but found nothing but dead coral covered in algae and almost no fish when I went back in 2019? And who should I blame for the antibiotic resistant bacterial infection I got from swimming in Biscayne Bay? Three people died of this in just the week I was hospitalized.
