Come along with us, as Instructor Trainer Bryan Stafford takes us on an Underwater Tour of Gray Quarry. This awesome dive site has a lot to offer to a wide range of divers. On this particular dive, the water temperature was a consistent 61 degrees (f), and average visibility was around 30-50 feet. With plenty of structures to dive on, this is a great place for training for any diver.

We were here last week and there were freshwater sponges! This quarry never ceases to amaze! Love #GrayQuarry !!!

@@LakeHickoryScuba wish I could say the same! This thing called 'work' is really cramping my scuba style LOL 🤣 Last week they were submerging a big yellow submersible, supposedly to hover around 40ft deep somewhere near the aerator. Keep an eye out for it!

I love swimming through the School Bus @ Gray Quarry. It was my first experience with diving in a confined space

Unfortunately, did not get any footage of the bus on this dive.

Dive Gray Quarry frequently. Great place for training. Good scuba family environment. Can also pay Quarry entrance fee($15) at Bermuda Triangle Scuba Shop in Ashville( also great scuba family atmosphere)

Hello Terri DelaCuadra, we use Gray quite often with students, this just happened to be my first trip there. You are correct, great family atmosphere.

Now that is funny right there. Did you know, there are more planes in the ocean than there are submarines in the sky?

Love that you did the video. I love all the different obstacles and things to see. Could you leave the distance thing out of the rating? 🤔 Every place I am looking at diving is going to require a lot of driving. I have been to Lake DeSmit, WY. It is 2 hours from my home. It has a public long term porta potty situation. No heat. No benches. Word of mouth on the dive platform, sunken boat, ect. The dive places out of Sheridan use it a lot for training. Thank you for giving us places to go when we go visiting. 😊

Hello Drake Learning, glad you liked our video. Our rating was based off the distance to get fills (which really wasn't that far), but parking from the gear up site and changing area is quite a distance. Other than that it is an amazing place to dive.

Pretty sure your dad told me about this quarry when I visited your shop a few months ago when I was in the area for work (from Florida). He even told me to give him a call if I planned to dive up there and he said he'd join me.

Good footage, seems like a good quarry. Never been but I hope to make a trip down that way in 2021. Check out Mermet Springs in Illinois and PennyRoyal Scuba in Hopkinsville, Kentucky if you're ever up this way.

With travel restricted in the UK our local quarry has been a godsend. If you're interested, here are a couple of my short videos of UK quarry diving. th-cam.com/video/ACXYZkWeBZc/w-d-xo.html, and th-cam.com/video/S2pZUwrBgjM/w-d-xo.html. Airplane, helipcopter, tanks, boats - seems like the same sort of stuff, and a great use of what would otherwise be industrial wasteland.
