I love how at the beginning he holds the mic to his head and almost seems to be saying a little prayer or something, or maybe just getting into the zone by channeling the universe and it's musical brilliance so he can play and sing it as well as he did. All of their music has so much intelligence, emotion and passion its awe-inspiring to watch them.

Most bands who are truly musical are way better live than in the studio - the studio recordings are never the ultimate versions of a song, more of a template to be built upon in the live arena. Any band that just sets out to replicate live what they put to record isn't worth seeing.

This is pure magic. From 2:20 on... I can't name another guitarist in our generation that can single handedly captivate an entire stadium audience the way Bellamy does. This is truly legendary of a Hendrix capacity.

This to me is such a deeply personal song because Bellamy is singing about the question which goes through everyone's mind at some point in their lives - "Don't kid yourselves, this life could be the last." I get goosebumps every time I hear it and I do think it is their best song.
People bang on about Queen and the music they made and draw comparisons between Bellamy and Mercury but, truth is, Queen weren't capable of this kind of genius. This is next level stuff. It's just too weird and different for main stream. That, and the fact that Bellamy's voice touches you in ways no other can makes, for me at least, muse the better of the two bands. And by some considerable margin.

Having been an insomniac for the past 3 years, I then found Muse, and this song and it somehow puts my mind and body at complete rest. Listen to it every night to send me to sleep. (In a good way, it's not a boring song or anything)
It was 03'-04' somewhere in there. Absolution had just come out, i got tickets to see them in a club in Tucson, Arizona with 200 other fortunate souls. Matt's guitar was on his back while playing piano, switching back and forth. It was magnificent.🤘
Today I decided that I should start listening to muse’s discography. NME said that absolution was their best album, so I startled listening to it. Found this gem. Just wow.
That guitar solo is out of this world. Bellamy describes this as a perfect performance..... can’t argue with that. Hands down the best live music experience of my life.
