I'm a 26 year old Navy vet. metalhead covered in tattoos but if I went and saw Muse live and they didn't play this song I'd legitimately cry like a 12 year old girl.
Most of their songs make me cry. Such a beautiful sound.
Phillip Holtzman now imagine seeing this particular song live, words can’t even describe the emotion that comes over you, especially when the lyrics “life will flash before our eyes”. It is so beautiful.

Only issue I have is when turning to so, so, so many other Muse songs, too many with such incredibly profound lyrics and just otherworldly musical perfection.
They are in a class by themselves.

I cannot find anything else to play, man. No band is like Muse. I love a couple other bands but nobody is THIS brilliant. It's like a love letter to the Universe. I feel I should be listening to more music cause I've heard basically all of their songs... But everything else I listen to is just empty compared to Muse

One of the best bands ever put together. raw pure musical talent with finesse play & presentation on top of genius composition. This true musical talent & meaningful art is what it should all be about. Thank you Muse for getting me through a lot in my personal life & having this positive effect on me by teaching me how to enjoy the simple things in life first so that I can be content no matter what else is going on around me. I hope one day I can apply that to someone else's life & pass it on..

They are extremely talented. They don’t need post-production 😉 I watched them live 4 times and they never lowered the level of their songs, they always play and sing like they were in studio. Everything seems to come so easy… they are my favourite living band (the other one is Queen).

Only few people will know exactly what I mean by this comment, Map of the problematique was a song I never cared about because I think it's one of those songs you either love to death or it's an "okay" song. But only because you need to go through some stuff in life before you can understand it's true meaning. I listened to this song a couple of times before but it never caught my attention, but now I'm at a point in my life that I can say, this song is simply a masterpiece, all of their songs are masterpieces to be honest, but this one.... this one is just out of the ordinary. It's so fuckin powerful it's not even funny.
I'm going through the period in life you're referring to, and how you described getting through a rough patch to understand the song resonates deeply with me

I first saw Muse in Cardiff in 2002. When I heard they would be playing the first gig at the new Wembley (George Michael got moved ahead of them eventually) I had to go and bought 4 tickets without even asking my mates. I knew they'd say yes. It was amazing. No regrets.

I love Matt’s suit! He looks so sophisticated! Know that’s kind of a trivial statement, and obviously his guitar playing and singing ❤ As well as Dom’s drumming and Chris and Morgan etc, but his suit is beautiful
That bass at the beginning gives me chills...
When I feel I’m in need of desperation, I come back to songs like this (or the earlier Muse’s songs in general). Their lyrics are gold and speak straight to my heart (not to mention that Matt is my crush still today that I’m almost 40 🙈)

This is not only a really nice song, but a brilliant conception. Not a hardcore fan of Muse, but this song speaks for their musical talent.
This song has one of the most powerful drum fills I heard in my life (2:24), first time I heard it I was being mesmerized by the whole song (audio, lyrics, voices, all) and it struck me right in my face, true impact. It took me 30 seconds running to my drumkit and trying to play it hahahahah. Dom is a hell of a drummer, no doubt.
