Drawing contour on AutoCAD and creating a DTM file (SW DTM)

In this video contour lines are drawn on AutoCAD from the topographic survey data. The survey was done using total station and the application used for creating contours was free softwel app SW DTM. Link for the application softwel.com.np/....

Surely if you're using C3D you don't need the SW DTM app?
