I still can't get over it, that she retired so soon and didn't take the chance in participating at the Olympic Games in 1992.
She would have been one of the strongest contenders in the EUN squad.

I was so amazed, when I saw her doing the full twist on the Balance Beam. I thought she was from another star.... really a great talent. I don't remember, seeing her at the Uneven Bars... wonder if she was excellent at this apparatus also....

It always saddens me to think she never made it to the Olympics, she could have been AA and beam (or more) champion.

It was a tough time I think... and the girls from the USSR were pushed further and further to do more risky elements.
But she was truly brilliant at Balance Beam and Horse Vault... but also great on Floor Exercise.

So amazing on that old vault! She was one of my my many favorites I would have loved to hypothetically "frozen" at their peak and train them with today's today's equipment, rules, etc, but keep the classical lines, dance , and chutzpah. ❤❤❤

    • @Boban1611

In former times the girls used the technique to master this Vault perfectly, as Olessia Dudnik did...
Today.... this has changed, due to the development of the apparatus probably.
You run up, you hit the board, you hit the table (plenty of space you have anyway) and then you toss and turn....
and eventually you come to a stop.
      There.... finished....
Who needs technique if the apparatus has the capacity to gives you an extra boost anyway.... 😱😳😨
